Customers say: Quality work

"This company expanded my driveway to add a concrete turn around area and installed a compacted gravel RV pad along side the garage. Their pricing is reasonable/competitive. Joshua is honest, responsive, and communicates very well. He and his crew show up when they say they will and do quality work. I would not hesitate to use them for future concrete projects."

"We met six different guys doing work for Rock Hard Concrete, and all six were great guys, dedicated and extremely hard workers. Whoever is doing their hiring should get a raise. Rock Hard Concrete showed up when they said they would and completed the job on schedule. In today's world of flaky contractors and crappy work, Rock Hard Concrete was a pleasant surprise. I won't use anyone else for future concrete projects. We couldn't be happier with our new driveway pad."

Small jobs welcome

"As one friend commented, “Your home now looks like an estate!” The driveway and sidewalk look amazing. The two leads on the job, Justin and Ryan, were amazing to work with and were prompt and efficient. They know how to get the job done; they know concrete. Owner Travis was easy to work with and kept us informed along the way. I’d definitely recommend this company. Huge job and an expensive investment, but we wanted a nice driveway and that’s what we got! I trust it will stay beautiful for a long time!"

Warranties offered

Small jobs welcome

"They were fantastic.  They did exactly what they said they would do.  They didn't try to skimp on what they would have to do just to make a buck.  We had to coax things up with some of the other contractors that gave us bids.  These guys came right to the front and said what they would do.  Everything we had asked for they did without prompting.  They did exactly what we asked for and they were perfectly willing to work within it unlike most of the others who would cut corners.  They were very good.  It was worth the money we paid for."

"We had a great experience with ABC concrete, the crew was there on the day and time stated in the bid. Very good job on the 21'X21' slab for our new metal carport. Would have them do any kind of concrete work indeed. Thank you again Travis"

"We just had Williams Concrete remove and replace our driveway. Also in this project, we had a walkway- patio - porch constructed as well. It's nice to work with someone who really values down to earth business practices. Bill Williams and his company should receive the highest marks in professionalism, punctuality and integrity. We only took one bid in this process because when meeting Bill for the first time , my instincts told me that this was a company dedicated to fairness and customer needs. Responding to phone calls in a timely manner and honesty are contractor traits that I value highly when making decisions on expensive home projects. We have other projects down the road that involve concrete work and I look forward to working with Williams Concrete in the future."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Spokane, WA

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
