"Mack and Sons? More like Crack and Sons. Prompt bid and scheduling were a plus. Communication leading up to job completion was exceptional. Afterwards I was treated like a one night stand and never talked to again when I brought up issues with the quality of work. If being ghosted for months on end, yelled at by the owner at 8pm on your door step while you're putting you're trying children to sleep, you like to buy once cry twice , and have a love for substandard work then this is the business for you. Yelled at on your own property at night? I asked they remove pictures of my property and the work they did from their Facebook page as they didn't do a good job and it's not representative of the quality of their work. I also added that it's comical that they claim to support veterans but have treated multiple veterans in our community poorly. If the Veterans Administration were a concrete company it would be Mack and Sons. That elicited a response and I was actually happy to see the owner roll up at 8pm onto my driveway, Maybe they're going to fix this. I let her know that it's bedtime for the kids but the concrete they poured is right around the corner and she can look at it there. "I don't care about the concrete." I guess I wouldn't care either if I already had taken the money and done a poor job. A polite you need to leave the was met with a no followed by tears and shouts. Apparently as a veteran, I don't know anything about veterans. I laughed so hard in DD-214 that I coughed up black stuff from being near burn pits during my deployment to Iraq. Alas, the comedy routine didn't last long and after 3 more requests to leave my property, I had to use my big boy voice to get the owner to leave. I would say it's safe to say that they won't be resolving any issues with their work."

"Groundworks were contracted to encapsulate the crawl space, with a dehumidifier, intellijacks & sump pump. The inspector showed us pictures & videos of what the work would look like on completion, & explained how each solution would be installed. They tried to charge me more for vent covers until I showed them the contract covering this part. The foreman told me there was a reset button for the sump pump to be installed on an exterior wall, but they did not install it, instead said they would put in a service order. I haven’t heard anything about this issue yet. When they installed the moister barrier, they excluded the cement pads I was told it cost extra to have them covered. When I signed the contract, I was never told there would be extra charges for vent covers or cement pads to be covered. The contract I signed covered a complete encapsulation, but this is not what I got. This is a bait & switch. I would not recommend Groundworks."

"When I was getting bids for our paver project, one of the three bids I got was from Rios Brick Pavers. I asked Mauricio, the owner, why I should hire him. Without hesitation, he responded, “Because of the quality of our work.” He went on to say that his crew is great at what they do, and they have been with him for many years. He told me that there may be some competitors who will offer a lower price, but none will match his quality workmanship. Mauricio and his crew went on to deliver on his promise. We had walkways, a large gravel area, and a brick patio integrated into a beautiful and welcoming space that greatly enhances the usability and the look of our home. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and the finished look of the paver project. Mauricio was excellent on communicating status throughout the project. As there are with any project, there were a couple of unexpected challenges that he let me know about right away. The solutions he developed provided additional proof of the experience of his crew. Finally, it should be noted that his team began the project on schedule and finished a day early. I give Rios Brick Pavers my highest recommendation. Quality work at a fair price. Beautiful result."

"Dishonest and unprofessional, profits over customer service, please stay away from this business. Quote was fair for my new patio of about 700ft, signed contract in Aug and estimated project start within 4-6 weeks, then problems started: 1. Scheduling nightmare Kept putting off my project and was told they had to finish some big projects first, and in Oct when it was well beyond the promised project start dates, the owner Cary called me to COMPLAIN angrily that they are annoyed by my request for ETA, and they have no idea when my project would start. The office manager Karen soon texted to apologize for Cary's behavior, but clearly this company doesn't value their customers and have no regard for the contract. 2. Crew urinating on my wall, unprofessional On project start day, no project manager onsite, no honey bucket for crew to use, the crew lead was constantly smoking and tossing cigarette butt around in my yard. Later when I complained, Karey argued the honey bucket would cost them $250 and I should not take advantage of them. Just unbelievable. Also the entire crew don't speak any English, it was impossible to communicate timely and make adjustments without project manager onsite . 3. Dishonest, still haven't fixed quality problem as promised Last day of project, crew was rushing to finish and didn't follow the original design on the patio landing area, and when I asked them to wait for 20 minutes so I can inspect because I was in a meeting at work, they refused and just left. Next day when I reported the issue, the office manager Karen texted me to "Stop taking advantage of them", "It costs them money to fix things" and finally she said they will come to fix only after collecting the remaining payment. I trusted them but it was a big mistake, no response at all about the fix after I paid the remaining half, clearly this business is used to telling lies and can't be trusted. Demand of patio projects is high during the pandemic, but there is no excuse for cutting corners, being dishonest, unethical and unprofessional!"

"Referrals are everything in this business and I must thank the man who referred Thalia to me. Thalia is on top of things like nobody else. When the team comes though it's like they can read my mind and then some. Every time they do a job on our property, it's finished better than I wanted it and I'm pretty particular about what I want. In fact, I just asked for an estimate on storm damage to my fence. Even though I hired them as landscapers, they are so fastidious that I had to see if they would be willing to do other things for the house. But back to the initial landscaping, my backyard was transformed from a spacious but uneven, boring mess into a magical, balanced space I'd be perfectly happy to have a wedding at. Just fantastic and the quote would've still been reasonable for a job 25% smaller than what they did for me.
