"They were a little late to the original time, but when they got here, they started pretty quick. They did a nice job getting the vents cleaned out especially our dryer vent. It would have been nice to see them wear shoe covers when working in the wet, muddy yard, but to my surprise, none of the yard mud tracked in. Overall, nice work done in a timely manner. Good customer service and they answered all my questions. Worth the money spent."

"Issues during and subsequent to the installation: <br /> 1. The drilling work was subcontracted, The drilling was conducted during a period when I was not home to observe. That was not an issue.  However, upon return a week later, I found a large area of drilling residue on the grass.  It had dried to a concrete like layer between 1/4" and 1/2" thick.  It covered an area twenty to forty feet in diameter around each hole. A trench was later dug to connect the drilled holes.  When that trench was refilled much of dried residue was scraped into the trench. <br /> 2. A trench was dug to install the refrigerant lines between the drilled holes and house. Refrigerant lines were installed, and the trench refilled. The fill overflowed one to two feet higher than the original surface of the lawn. I was told this was to be expected, that the fill would settle to ground level.  The summer has been very dry.  With hand watering the fill has settled about 50% in 6 months but certainly not enough to allow replanting of the grass. <br /> 3. The trench was hand dug under the foundation to allow connecting the geothermal refrigerant lines to the geothermal unit. Before refilling I asked that additional effort be made to waterproof the under-foundation trenched area.  Three months later, after a very heavy rain, standing water appeared in the crawl space. I was hoping this issue would be resolved when the trench fill has fully settled.  I have not yet asked for assistance. <br />   <br /> I have been very impressed by the professionalism of Fowler Heating and Cooling.  This includes all workers, and the sales staff personnel. Prior to, during installation, and in follow-up service to this new geothermal heating and cooling system they have been excellent. That is not to say there were no installation or service problems, but those that have occurred have been very professionally handled. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Initially I called to have a toilet replaced because it was constantly running and replacing the flapper did not solve the problem. After speaking with the guy on the phone and telling him the problem, he informed me that it would be much cheaper to have the toilet fixed by replacing the inside plumbing instead of replaced. He did give me an estimated over the phone for replacing the toilet and just fixing it. We set up an appointment for a technition to come out on a Friday morning. After waiting for over a half an hour for the tech to arrive, I contacted the office and he informed me that the tech had an early morning call that he was just finishing up. Because I had to do to work, I was unable to wait any longer for the tech to arrive and complete the job. The guy in the office set up another appointment for Saturday and stated that he would not charge me time and a half for the labor but just straight time. On Saturday, the tech called just before the scheduled time and left a message stating that he was on his way and would be to my home in about 15 minutes. Once he arrived, he was able to complete the job in less than an hour and charged me for 30 minutes of labor. He fixed the toilet, cleaned it out and did not leave a mess behind him. The final bill was about $100 less than replacing the toilet would have been. He did a good job and the toilet is no longer leaking. <br />"

"Work went fine. 9 months later when I could actually get down in crawl space I found that there were several areas where plastic was not taken to outside walls as was contracted. They cleaned up 25 years of other contractors leaving their trash behind and then left theirs' behind. The spray insulation cans were laying all over. Contract said mold was supposed to be re checked in a year but nobody has come back. I have called and talked to the owner 3 times and he told me he would be by. The fourth time my call was never returned. Always get several bids and get multiple referrals. <br /> <br />"
