Bill worked with me graciously when delays in other work on my house and adverse spring weather required pushing back his schedule. His team ultimately performed all of the work (full roof and gutter tear-off and upgrade replacement and installation of new soffit venting) in a timely fashion. Bill also worked with me professionally to resolve an unexpected cost overrun resulting from the necessity of replacing severely rotted fascia boards. Prior to this job, Dominion Roofing had also promptly repaired leaks in a previous roof, and professionally rebuilt and reroofed a rotted and leaking porch roof. "The initial contact back took a little longer than expected, but Lewis was quite friendly. The son was no less friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They evaluated my roof and noted that it needed a full replacement, I didn't disagree; however, because of on going renovations, I couldn't afford a completely new roof. "Amazing. Todd Hartley and his team of professionals are top notch. I cannot recommend them enough. When I had a roof issue, Hartley was the only contractor willing to take a look the same day it was discovered (right before a very heavy rainstorm) since it had the potential to just be a minor roof repair (this was during the busy season). They came out within 2 hours, prepared to tarp the roof if necessary. Once the issue was identified, my insurance company came out to assess and totaled the roof. Based on my initial experience, I gave Hartley a call and they not only upgraded my roof to architectural shingles (instead of 3 tab, which is what I originally had), 6" gutters (instead of 5") and a thicker gauge steel roof for a bumpout roof. Hartley scheduled me within a more than reasonable timeframe during their busy season (and after several major storms) and performed the work as scheduled and on time. Each step of the way, the crew and Todd were happy to answer my numerous questions. Todd and his team are top notch. When I found issues not related to their work completed (siding issue from when it was built), Todd and his crew came out to help me fix the issue at no charge. I can honestly say that Hartley Home Exteriors cares deeply for their customers, has exceptional customer service, communicate well with their customer and amongst their team members, and Todd (the owner) stands behind his work. It says a lot when you see the owner coming out to check on not only the work being completed but also his crew. He cares about his customers and his crews and it absolutely shows based on my interactions with him. I dealt with Victor first when he came to my home and gave me an estimate. Then Emily in their office to deliver the sign contract since I was close by. Lastly, Wilbert and Victor to install our new Velux Skylights. The entire process, removing the old dome skylights, install the new Velux Skylights, and to install the automatic blinds took about 3 to 4 hours only. "Review of work done by Summit Roofing Company, Manassas, Virginia On two different occasions in August 2020, I called Summit Roofing Company to repair flashing issues on two parts of my roof. Their were two separate teams of two workers who fixed both problems cause by an aging roof; both were leaks. In each case, the responsiveness was excellent for the repairs needed. They were very respectful of the health issues going on with Covid 19 and we were able to identify exactly where the roof issues were without putting me at any health risk. They were able to take pictures before and after their work so I could see the finished product on the roof. I researched local costs and they were certainly very competitive and reasonable. They cleaned up after the job which made my wife and I very happy. Being a long time Manassas resident, I have routinely heard of only good references about this company. A consumer saying I have heard for years, namely, "the bitterness of poor quality and service remains long after the sweetness of low-price" has been advice I take strongly before I make a decision on a company.
