"My family had a good experience with Gil from Sharp Remodeling. He was recommended by a close family friend, Ofelia Galvez, and after much consideration, we went with him. Our insurance wasn't covering any roof repairs, but because of the recent rains and continuous water damage inside the house, it was a matter of urgency. Gil's crew was polite and friendly, clean and efficient. Amazingly, they finished all the work in about a week. This included replacing rotten wood and broken tiles, and completely upgrading the underlayment with Boral TileSeal, which is guaranteed for 30 years. Our roof passed city inspection, and Sharp Remodeling guided us through that process, as well as getting the initial permit from the city. All in all, I find that Gil made it quick and painless for us. During a time when it seemed that everyone was extremely busy due to the unexpected rains, Gil made sure that our needs were met. His price was even better than what our neighbor paid for their re-roofing project. So far, it's rained a couple more times, but the leaking seems to have stopped. "I obtained 3 estimates to replace multiple broken and dislodged tiles on my roof and fix the underlying material. 1 general contractor and 1 other roofing company. T&G came in below the other roofing company by a considerable amount and only slightly above the GC. They provided very clear estimate documents and despite warning me of possible overages based on things they might discover after starting the repair came in exactly at their estimate. They were on-time, finished in the time estimated, were very clean and professional. I recommended them to several other folks who came by and asked since seeing them on my roof."

"Amit and his crew did a great job installing a brand new cool roof, as the 30 year-old shingles that comprised our previous roof were curling up and on their last legs. I was able to get a rebate from LADWP at the rate of 20 cents per square foot contingent on the new roof meeting the threshold for minimum reflectivity. It cost $12,570; I got this pricing by getting a competitive quote from another roofing company and then negotiating additional features against that quote like cost of some required additional shiplap wood and plywood, a reflective radiant barrier on the underside of the roof visible from inside the garage, extra thick material under the shingle tiles themselves and over the plywood, replacement of flashings, etc. Amit was very honest, responsible and reliable throughout the process. The quality of the roof work was great. However, there was debris that came down on the attic floor after the days of pounding. When we requested that he return with his crew to clean up the debris, he reported that this often happened but that he was not responsible to do any cleaning as stated in his contract. Following the work, I noticed that in the attic there were quite a few nails that were poking down through the ceiling; I told him it was dangerous to walk there due the possibility that these sharp nails could injure someone. He agreed to return and bend back those protruding nails so that they were no longer a hazard. Overall he did a superior job at a reasonable price. I would hire him again."

"Great Way Roofing was recommended by good friends and also had a terrific rating here on Angie's List. I got estimates from 3 other companies and not only was GreatWay the most competitive but also one of only two of the 4 companies that followed up with me after estimating.. Job was a complete tearoff of 3 layers plus wood rot replacement and roof now had to be a "Cool Roof" per city code- which makes it a bit more expensive. Matt Saeger, the rep I worked with always responded promptly to my calls and emails, was patient, explained everything in detail, answered my many many questions. Schedule went as planned. Dawn in the office provided great support for paperwork and any questions regarding that. I'd advised a difficult neighbor in advance of the scope of the project. When he had an issue the first day it was addressed promptly by Matt and GreatWay and resolved quickly to the neighbor's satisfaction. All good. The roof repair work had been estimated well, and only had to add some additional wood replacement due to some additional unexpected wood rot found after tear off. I was provided pictures and details and approved the extra cost and scope of additional work before it was completed - which was a reasonable additional expense and not much over the original estimate. The Great Way roofing team of Rene, Sal, Lionel, Fernando and Tony (I think I got the names all correct!) were terrific. Everything was protected as needed (including my new attic furnace and air con units). Everything was cleaned up every day completely. The guys at my guidance even put all my patio furniture, many heavy potted plants and my garden decor all back in place.
