"We recently had our two front windows and our front door replaced by Renewal by Andersen, and we absolutely love them. The new windows have completely transformed our living room—the view is so beautiful that we don’t even want to cover them with window treatments. I’m already excited to create a cozy reading and sitting area in front of them so we can really enjoy the space. The difference in comfort is incredible. It’s so nice to walk into our living room without feeling a draft. We no longer see light coming through or feel cold air entering the house, which has made a huge improvement in both comfort and energy efficiency. From start to finish, the entire process was easy and stress-free. Everyone we worked with—from sales to finance to installation—was professional, friendly, and amazing. They truly made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and highly recommend Renewal by Andersen!"

"Needed professional to drill screw holes into porcelain tile to hang shower tower. Small job but local tile installers & plumbers wouldn't do it because of liability of cracking tiles or hitting electrical/plumbing behind wall despite my knowing location of electrical/plumbing/studs. I've never drilled porcelain tile & watched lots of YouTube instructional videos but didn't want to risk cracking either due to my lack of experience. I found Bill on Angie and he responded immediately and continued to contact me for a convenient time to do job as I was traveling. Bill showed up on time & did job quickly & professionally with correct diamond porcelain tile bits and knew how to keep bits cool while drilling. No cracks! Shower is hung. Happy! Really nice guy too! He's our new goto handyman."

"Patrick is a thorough professional. Your project will be done on time and on or below budget. I trusted his recommendations for project modifications, which turned out better than anything I was envisioning. The list in this computer form don't begin to address all he did. It included installing light fixtures, updating kitchen cabinets and more."

FAQs for doors (exterior) installation and replacement projects in Stevensville, MT

Modern steel doors incorporate protective coatings and finishes that significantly reduce rust potential. These treatments create effective moisture barriers when properly maintained. Small scratches or damage should be promptly addressed with touch-up paint to prevent moisture from reaching the underlying metal.

Doors in coastal or high-humidity environments benefit from additional protective measures and more frequent inspection. With proper care, most steel doors resist corrosion for decades.

Steel doors provide superior resistance against forced entry attempts compared to fiberglass alternatives. The inherent strength of steel creates a formidable barrier that resists impacts and tampering more effectively than composite materials.

While high-quality fiberglass doors offer reasonable security, steel provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and structural integrity. For maximum protection, look for steel doors with reinforced strike plates and multi-point locking systems.

Most manufacturers provide warranties covering manufacturing defects for periods ranging from five to 15 years, depending on the product line and quality tier. Hardware components often carry separate warranty coverage, often for shorter durations. Installation services may include workmanship guarantees covering proper fitting and operation. Always review warranty documentation carefully to understand coverage limitations and maintenance requirements that might affect warranty validity.

Provided your existing wood frame remains structurally sound and properly aligned, professional installers can often adapt a steel door to fit. The process requires careful measurement and potentially minor modifications to accommodate the new door's specifications. The frame must provide adequate support for the heavier steel door construction. A qualified installer will evaluate your current frame's condition and recommend appropriate adjustments to ensure proper function and security.
