"Jason reviewed the job and said I would get the estimate that day and I did. Wow!! Lisaâ s scheduling communication was great. Day/time that job was to start was spot on. The work was all done in one day. Tore down a short Chicago brick wall. Rebuilt the wall after tear down. Care was taken through out the day to keep the job site clean. Tarps were put down to catch all debris. Workers were friendly and answered all questions that I had. Clean up of job site was very good. Absolute Masonry is a great contractor to work with on your concrete repair projects. Thank you Absolute Masonry."

"We hired Tom Sirek and his hard-working team to fix a recurring problem with a large sinkhole in our front yard. They also completed reconstructed our retaining wall and front steps. We had previously hired a different business to repair the hole, but their repairs were ineffective and had to be totally redone by Sirek Landscaping. There were several challenges to this project along the way, but Tom and his crew perservered and we are so delighted with the end results. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors and people passing by. Even the mailman left us a nice note about how great everything looks! Becuase we live in the city, the work space was very constricted, but Tom's crew was extremely careful and respectful of our neighbors' space. They even preserved my boulevard garden! The problem with the hole ended up being much more serious than any of us had realized, but Tom and his workers were able to repair it and to constuct an underground drain connected to our rain gutters to prevent future erosion from rainfall. Our brick retaining wall is absolutely beautiful and it should last more many decades to come. I should also mention the prompt and thorough clean-up that took place as soon as each stage of the project was completed."

Ran into some problems: ancient retaining wall found buried behind collapsing wall, and they removed that as part of the "unknowns" they encountered, didn't charge extra for that. "We are very pleased with L&R on all the projects that we have had completed in our yard. All the projects were well planned, designed and installed with care and respect to our property. They have done multiple landscaping projects that have improved our yard, including regrading, new shrubs, stone path, granite stone steps in the back yard up to a raised bed garden on the most difficult berm. Also installed brick side walk and under ground drains for rain run off, and replaced our deck with a two level deck and stairway. This past spring we called on them to do a yard cleanup and mulch refresh throughout the yard. The latest project was a some what emergency call when we had to have a new electric service installed, and as part of that work a growing rod had to be installed which required part of our paver sidewalk to be removed and reinstalled. They responded quickly, and made a problem disappear. "Artistic Landscapes Inc. was one of many companies we talked to and received quotes from about installing a boulder retaining wall in our backyard to replace aging railroad ties and decking. The backyard is sloped with very limited access to move materials and equipment, therefore many of the companies we spoke with responded with either limited options for landscape ideas or unaffordable prices. Chris came out, listened to our ideas, gave us some of his and told us exactly what we could expect; he quickly put a bid together and we were elated it fell within our budget.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />He and his crew not only worked around the limited access issues, but challenging weather including rain and wet conditions/clay soils. In addition to an approximate 60 foot long boulder retaining wall, they installed 33 paver stones for a pathway, steps as a feature area, additional large boulders for aesthetic enhancements and graded the area to address critical storm water runoff needs. The placement of each stone/boulder was clearly thought through, resulting in a unique and attractive wall versus many of the standard "one on top of the other" looks. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Toward the end there were a few minor tweaks we requested to which Chris and his crew were more than happy to accommodate until they knew we were completely satisfied. Clean up was fabulous too; our front yard damaged by major equipment during the process (which we knew was necessary) was fully restored as promised! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Chris was good to communicate with and very trustworthy in terms of what he committed to delivering.
