"When house was built they added an extra light switch. inside the garage about 8 feet up that controls all the outdoor along with Xmas lights outlet in soffit. Previous owner never left any message about what this. Took 2 electricians over an hour to troubleshoot and discover that the painters, who also did an excellent job, had turned the switch off while painting the garage. I have hired Mr Sparky many times over the past 7 years and they have always provided excellent service"

Once here, he and his crew inspected and fixed our system.  We had a handful of broken things, which they fixed.  We had some broken equipment over what was allowed in the tune-up, so we of course had to pay a bit extra for that, but the price was very reasonable and we were thrilled to get it all taken care of so quickly.  He even programmed our system to be compliant with local water restrictions, which we really appreciated since we were totally new to the area.  He also noticed a fungus on our roses and gave us some free advice on how to take care of it - saving us a ton of hassle (we just thought they were thirsty, lol).  All in all, they really went above and beyond, and we are happy to have found Shades of Green.  We?d recommend them highly to anybody, and will definitely be using them again! <br />"

"It went great. This company is unbelievable. I got to work with the owner Mike Lukas very closely in the design of my pondless waterfall. The result I had was one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've ever seen. The staff that came out to build it was very professional. We actually had a problem in which immediately after the waterfall was built we had a heavy rain. The heavy rain washed out a small portion of the dirt right underneath the waterfall summit and I called to have this repaired. Within it that day a team (Mitch and Chris came out to repair the waterfall. They were very clear in explaining the maintenance and promised to always be very responsive to any problems or issues that I might ever have in the future. Incidentally, they provide maintenance services for you if desired. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and absolutely would pick them if you want any kind of pond or waterfall or aquarium supplies."

"Electric by Miller professionally and quickly provided a detailed estimate (which came in as best price among 3 estimates recieved) for the following work performed: Trenched and backfilled ditch, eliminating existing underground dock electrical service. Pulled new wire in conduit from garage to dock walkway and throughout renovated boat dock. Installed new 8-circuit disconnect/breaker panel (with required signage). Installed GFCI recepticle with weather proof panel at pole light. Installed 3 vapor lights fixtures (one with motion sensor), light switch and 4 GFCI receptacles w/ in-use covers. They provided all required paperwork/plans to the GRDA (approving authority for all things dock related), to include inspections which eliminated all administrative burden on me. <br /> <br /> Only days prior to work biginning, I requested a change order for extending the dock service lines around future site of a pool and outdoor kitchen/bar and to lay in and stub up additional 220 and 110V services at this projected location. They accomodated this 11th hour request and quickly turned a reasonable (cost) change order to the original estimate and began work shortly after this request. <br /> <br /> Upon job completion, they went the extra mile(s) in retrieving operating manuals from their purchase source, scanning and e-mailing me the operating manuals for the light and motion detection systems so I had details on max bulb sizes, optimal settings, etc.--very helpful! <br /> <br /> The proprietor (Kathy Miller) personnally inspected the completed job and determined that the light fixture/motion sensor combination was not as good as it should be (safety wise) for lighting the walkway approach to the dock (at night). She ordered a change to a flood light from the vapor light fixture...at the company's expense. <br /> <br /> I'm VERY impressed and pleased with the work done, competitive pricing and overall customer service and care! <br /> <br /> Electric by Miller is my Electrical Contractor of choice...and in this area they should be yours too!"

"I received an unexpected benefit recently when time came to do some work on our house in preparation for a move. I had contracted From the Ground Up (FGU) for lawn service for around eight years. When I contacted the owner, Jim Miller, about doing some landscaping work, I discovered that Jim also does home repairs and remodeling. Though we were in the process of getting bids on several specific projects needing attention, I asked Jim for bids on those same projects. I ended up using FGU on all but three of those projects, mostly because of price. To be truthful, I wish I had gone with FGU for two of the jobs for which we went with a different contractor, even though I would have paid a little more. In this case "you get what you pay for" was certainly true. The work done by the FGU crews was excellent, exceeding our expectations.
