"Mike was very consistent. If he said he would be here, he was here. Quick response on quotes, hard working crew, beautiful plants and always so helpful. If he did not know something he would find out for you. He also called to stay in touch if he got busy or the weather was not cooperating. I highly recommend."

"We are 100% delighted with what we call our new "living area" and the work completed by Rotten Rock.  Our initial inquiry in the dead of winter was replied to the same day and a site visit almost immediately.  Henry from Rotten Rock listened to our ideas (a lot of the inspiration came from other work Rotten Rock highlighted on their Facebook page) and helped us see how a natural bluestone patio would fit into our rustic country setting.  The quote arrived promptly and we contracted the work, which began in earnest in the Spring of 2015.  The job lasted about 3 weeks and the team performing the work were prompt, courteous, hard working and always did what they could to clean up at the end of each day...we could see the progress because they did so.  They took any suggestions we had along the way (which weren't many) and answered all our questions.  They were accommodating of the other contractors - and even installed all the underground conduit for the electrician - and offered to help with the hot tub installation.  The attention to detail of the stone work is impressive and we are pleased to know that unlike the ugly old deck that we never used, we'll have an area that will last a lifetime (we have already spent more time in our backyard in the past two months than we did the previous 5 years we owned the house!).  We were away for part of the installation but was kept informed via email from the office, which again, was always responsive.  We would highly recommend Rotten Rock for any hardscaping and/or tree work (they removed a few trees for us a few years ago too) and would use them again without hesitation. <br />"

"I had a Groupon for 1000 sq. ft. of driveway sealing.  I have about 2000 sq. ft.  I bought the Groupon and called, and I was told it would be another $170, so I wanted to set the appointment.  It actually took a year to get done, as he had too many Groupon customers and was giving scheduling preference to his existing client base.  Once we had the appointment, they arrived on time, could not have been more pleasant, did a great job, and left the area spotless. <br />"

"They were delayed because of rain. That is totally understandable. <br /> The quality of work performed was very good, but the service after the sale was poor. <br /> Jon, the owner, was very responsive up until the end of the project and all money paid. <br /> The driveway and walkway came with a 5 year warranty for heaving. <br /> The second year we called Jaiden Landscaping several times in an effort to have them come back to correct/repair a few pavers that heaved. They finally responded. <br /> This year (we still have one more year remaining on the warranty), In early April, I started calling and e-mailing several times about pavers that had separated. All I wanted was to have them come back to put in more sand and re-set if needed. I spoke with Angela, the office person, at least 3-4 times. She assured me Jon would be in touch. At one point she also told me someone stopped by when I wasn't at home. They didn't see anything wrong. Why they didn't come when I was at home is beyond me. Well, finally I reached Jon on his cell. He promised he would stop by. It's now August. I've yet to see or hear from him. <br /> Out of frustration, I sent him another e-mail a few weeks ago. This time, I included pictures of what needed to be addressed. Still no response. <br /> Customer service after the sale, in my opinion, is non-existent with this company. He appears to be more concerned with making a sale then servicing after to be sure a customer's investment holds up. Jaiden will get no repeat business from us or recommendations to friends, etc. <br /> I rated Jaiden a and quot;Dand quot; for professionalism because of the poor responsive and customer service. <br /> We had a new patio with walkway installed this summer by another company. <br />"

"They were able to provide a highly competitive painting bid on a lead certified job on short notice and reroof half my house at a spectacular price under their competitors.  The work was all done in very quick order between October 1st and when the snow flew, so that I could close on my house back in 2011.  Their ability to pull it together so fast was greatly appreciated. <br /> <br /> I have also called them in the very early morning hours for an emergency roof repair when a storm did some damage and caused a leak, and they were there within the hour.  Not every company moves that fast, but they do."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Stoneham, ME

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
