"Juan surveyed the driveway himself with the team on time. Provided a scope of work based on my request. We kept in contact with each other. His team arrived as scheduled. Completed the project in a timely fashion on budget. My wife and I were happy with the service provided by Juan and will reach out to him next time."

"James did a good job of sealing my driveway. I still see the cracks in my driveway but overall a good job for a very reasonable price. My two neighbors also had him seal their driveways."

"They came and tore up the old driveway and installed a dry-well for water build up when it rains. Lined the driveway with Belgian blocks and installed new apron with and walkway with pavers. New stone fascia and treads were installed on stoop and in porch. Everything was smoothly and timely done. Quality asphalt used and highly recommended."

"The job went great. My driveway was a mess, with 2 -3 layers of significantly aged, crumbling asphalt. Additionally there were divots and mounds caused by tree roots at the driveway entrance. John and team coordinated seamlessly with the township's tree removal service to trim back roots. Re-seating the Belguim block was a quality effort.. Driveway was prepped and left to settle a few days. 2.5 inches of asphalt (many proposals where 2 or even 1.5 around the same price range) . The crew was experienced, professional, & courteous. Overall I'm pretty happy."

"Li Paving – Outstanding Company. Five Star Outfit. Li Paving just finished replacing a 25 year old driveway that had seen its better days. As an avid do-it-yourself guy, I was concerned about hiring anyone to do the job, but decided to put faith in this company based on their professional presentation, proposed work to be done, and fair estimate. Most impressively, I was surprised to hear that they did not want a red cent until the job was finished and I was completely satisfied. Have not run into that kind of old school contractor in a very long time. They did everything they promised and then some. Also of rarity, the owner showed up every day and worked alongside his crew. The finished project greatly exceeded my expectation. It was so good in fact that two of my neighbors immediately contracted to have work done on their homes as well! My thanks to Li Paving and crew for outstanding service. Highly recommend."

"I hired Montecalvo to fix some cracks, seal, and stripe our parking lot. They came on time and finished the job earlier than expected. The cracks are still visible through the sealant as only a thin layer was applied. The striping looks great and I believe it should last for at elast a few years."

FAQs for asphalt sealing projects in Stony Brook, NY

If you live in a mild climate, you may only need to seal the surface every three years. If you live in extreme heat or cold, you should seal your driveway every other year to protect it from sun or winter weather damage. Consider the frequency of sealing a driveway when purchasing a home in an area with extreme weather.

Sealing your driveway between spring and fall in optimal warm and dry weather conditions maximizes its protection and extends its lifespan. Moderate temperatures allow the sealant to bond properly with the asphalt surface, ensuring a durable seal. Avoid sealing during extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, as these conditions can prevent the sealant from curing correctly.

An asphalt filler sealer is a product that fills cracks while simultaneously sealing the asphalt surface, providing comprehensive protection in one application. It's ideal for repairing minor damage and preventing future issues. When selecting the best asphalt filler sealer, consider factors such as drying time, durability, environmental impact, and compatibility with your existing asphalt. Choose a high-quality product that fits your budget and meets your driveway's specific needs to ensure long-lasting results.

Maintaining your coated blacktop is essential for its longevity. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year using a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove dirt, debris, and stains. Reseal the surface when required, every two to three years, to keep it protected. Avoid parking on a newly sealed driveway for at least two weeks. Prevent oil and gas spills, and promptly repair cracks or damage to prevent them from worsening. Removing snow and ice promptly can also protect your asphalt from freeze-thaw damage.

Preventing cracks in your driveway starts with regular maintenance. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year to remove debris and identify any budding issues. Seal your driveway every two to three years to protect it from water infiltration, UV damage, and wear from traffic. Promptly repair any small cracks to prevent them from expanding. Avoid parking heavy vehicles on the edges of your driveway and ensure proper drainage to reduce stress on the asphalt or concrete. These proactive steps help maintain the integrity of your driveway and extend its lifespan.

Absolutely. You don't need to be restricted to the standard blacktop asphalt. These days, you can find this material in exciting colors like brown, white, green, brick, terracotta, and more. If you have a color in mind, shop around to find the option that suits your vision for your asphalt driveway.
