Customers say: Quick response

"First off! I was so worried about finding a good painting company that would also not rip me off. from the first call to the end of my project the gentleman was so wonderful and so friendly. They were there when they said that they would be. It is so hard to find good honest people and he really is great! I knew I could trust him and his team with my home. I love my home but it needed to be painted inside and I knew I wanted someone to do it right but also care about the house and the owner. I felt so comfortable around this team. they not only painted great they cleaned up the mess! I cant praise this company enough !!!! I absolutely LOVE them. If I need anymore services I will be sure to hire them again and I will also share this company with friends and family. Thank you J & H painting for bringing my home back to life again! I love you guys!!! this was the first time that I had my entire house painted professionally and I am so pleased with the work. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! :) "

Small jobs welcome

"Excellent. I also hired him last year to paint the whole interior of my home. For all of your construction needs, you can't beat his prices, his work ethic and his great and personable attitude. I run an animal rescue in the house and some vendors won't work with dogs or cats in the area, but Carey Houser [Houser Construction] was able to navigate the situation. Every dog or cat owner: hire Carey!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Sunderland, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
