"We hired Pacific Outdoor Living to do a bunch of projects in our small space in Burbank. They built an amazing water feature, added some grass to a space that was formerly concrete slab, completely changed our front yard from a lawn that was all weeds to a beautiful garden, built a stone wall in front of aforementioned garden, converted our sprinklers to drip irrigation, and added some lighting. From Andrew the designer to Chad, Jorge, and Daniel the supervisors to all the workers, everyone at this company is top notch. They got the job done super quickly, and were as professional as can be. They were more expensive than the other bids we got, but this was one of those "you get what you pay for" situations and we couldn't be happier with the results. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat."

"Excellent job by Mr. Perez and his crew. Mr. Perez visited twice to spray plant killer to kill off remnants of the old grass, two weeks in a row. Work started on about the third week. Four long days of hard work by Mr. Perez and his crew followed. Mr. Perez also offered much appreciated advice on the care of some of my plants in the yard. He also suggested using "bubblers" for my laurels, instead of a drip system. They worked hard and cleaned the area each evening. I mean, their equipment stayed overnight, but they swept up each night. Most of our soil had about turned to CLAY and was VERY HARD to dig out. I also appreciated that he 'talked me down' from a project I was considering (privacy fencing on top of our concrete wall). He suggested a way to grow my lantana plant (and add another of the same) to have it grow up for privacy! Perfect solution for much less money. Price was about what I expected, and we got a 10% Angie's List discount. Very happy with the results."

"We first met with Liz, the landscape designer, and contracted her to do a design plan.  She listened well to our needs and came back with a plan that we really liked, particularly the design of the lawn terrace.  She provided helpful options for our design dilemmas, such as replacements for our gravel patio.  She offered options at various price points to give a sense of the range of options.  In the end, she came up with ideas that we would never have thought of on our own. <br /> The crew did great work. I feel very comfortable with the quality of the work, particularly the retaining walls (including french drains, waterproofing).  Dee, the owner and contractor lead, made some good changes as the plan was implemented, such as incorporating a bench along the lawn terrace and removing unnecessary stairs. They gladly accommodated two changes we made along the way (changed retaining wall materials from timber to cinder blocks, enlarged size of paver patio area).   <br /> We had a few issues getting the new irrigation system working 100%, but Dee was on top of the issues and fixed the items promptly.  He was committed to making sure we were 100% satisfied with the final results.  He said they will come back after 90 days to replace any dead plants and fix any issues, if any.   <br /> Overall, I would gladly work with G & L Design again and recommend them to others with their landscaping projects.  We couldn't be happier with the end product."

"This was a very large project .The backyard was cleanup of 10 years of declining gardening and debris involving grading, resloping and placing degraded granite. Then there was the new design and installation of an irrigation system to support the new landscaping and sod installation in another part of the backyard. In the front we widened the driveway which involved root hacking, digging, laying re-bar and pouring and finishing down the new concrete. Yosef and his crew were responsive,capable and courteous. We felt the fee was very reasonable for such hard work. We are very pleased with the results."

"We are thrilled by the results! Mike and his crew took out 10 boxes of dirt from a hill in our back yard all manually! They then installed a 50 x 4ft retaining wall (fully permitted) on the hill. After that poured a 60 x 10 concrete deck and steps to our new upper deck that now overlooks the pool. They then covered the new wall and existing lower wall with new custom colored stucco.
