"Working with Alex was a pleasure. He is very conscience and really cares about doing a good job and making sure the customer is happy. His workers were super pleasant, and if there was an issue (and there were a couple), it was resolved right away without finger-pointing or blame. He just took responsibility and made the correction. I would highly recommend Alex and Conquer Concrete to anyone looking for flatwork. He is affordable, dependable, and professional. My neighbors even commented on how great the guys were, how fast they worked to complete the job, and most importantly, how awesome it looks. I am very happy I chose to work with Conquer. Hire Alex, you won't be disappointed."

"Excellent-After we got the go ahead from the city & HOA , the progress never stopped. I did make a few changes in the middle of project, no problem for contractor, he agreed & we moved on. Very professional, yet very easy to converse with. When finished, we were very pleased with the outcome, even the neighbors complimented the job. The clean-up after the final pour was over the top. They made sure the street was cleaned of debris & my yard was perfect. From beginning to end, we were very pleased. This is a small company that can do big jobs! ( Ours was just under 50 yards of concrete on 5 separate locations-Driveway, RV pad, patio extension, a sidewalk from front porch, & an approach from street to driveway which had to be done per city code) Contractor has returned to make sure nothing was overlooked."

"Patrick helped build my 2,000sqft pole barn and pour the concrete slab which was 40 yards. The concrete turned out absolute perfect. I had zero issues and was stress free with Patrick on the job. My pole barn required some tricky stairs due to the small space. He figured out exactly what to do and built me some beautiful wrap around stairs. I highly recommend Patrick for any job. Excellent communication and a stand up guy. 5 stars."

"I bought a house that was in much need for concrete repair. My driveway was cracked raised and added a new pad for outdoor entrainment. Heron, and his crew came in and demoed all the existing concrete that needed repaired, prepped for new mud and got it all poured in no time. I couldn't be happier with their work and to have everything complete before the summer. Thanks fellas!."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Sweet, ID

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
