"The team at K-Guard have been great with which to work and have been extremely fair. Our sales representative, John, was very polite, informative, and extremely helpful resolving a misunderstanding, which resolution made our purchase possible. John was also very thorough in leading us through the process and with the follow up. Our installers, Michael, and Jeremy were extremely polite, informative, and very accommodating. Michael walked me through the process before the work even really started. He even talked to me regarding a couple of suggestions. Michael laid his thoughts in a very logical process and in such a clear manner that my wife & I were quickly convinced to make these minor changes that really improved the look and appeal while also making the drainage process more efficient. Michael and Jeremy were also exceptionally courteous and informative when our two-year-old granddaughter wanted to know what they were doing. The K-Guard Team members demonstrated they are one of the most important assets K-Guard. After considerable research, we landed upon K-Guard as the best solution for our replacement gutters. We had Leaf Guard Gutters on a commercial building that we owned, and while they were great, we experienced some issues with them. My research for an even better solution resulted in learning that K-Guard seemed to address the Lear Guard Gutters weaknesses. While mentioning this to a K-Guard Team member, he advised me that the designer of Leaf Guard Gutter left that company and developed G-Guard gutters as an improvement over his earlier design. Tests on the installed K-Guard Gutters on our home have demonstrated that the designer did in fact make improvements that addressed weakness in his earlier design. There is no doubt that K-Guard Gutters cost more than normal gutters, but if you have the money to invest in your home, you need to look at K-Guard Gutters as they are worth every penny that you invest and more!"

"Painting went okay. The inside paint job they did not replace the outlets, and there was paint drops on the floor that were never cleaned up. The sheet rock they hung inside the closet was good. However, the installer in the basement room did a shoddy job of the cutting around the outlets. They did not put the faceplates back on, probably because they knew their cuts were horrible. Two of the outlets would not cover up even with the largest face plate available. I asked multiple times for an itemized bill and did not get it. The painter did not paint the entire ceilings, only spot painted over the stains yet we were charged for the whole thing. I made the mistake of paying for everything and they never came back and hung the closet or basement room doors. The sheet rock installer quit so it was weeks before my project was started. They were flexible enough to add in the cleaning and staining of the deck, but I was over charged for the closet sheetrock. Whatever was put down in the basement peeled up in three spots within two weeks of being put down."

"I contacted Professional Roofing from a referral from a friend after hail damaged my home. My friend is such a stickler and gave them such a glowing referral that I couldn't help but call them! They answered the phone in a pleasant courteous manner, gathered my personal information including what it was that I was experiencing (not just, "what's yer address..."), set an appointment right then and there and asked if there was anything else they could do for me. Very Professional. The rep came out (I say "rep" because he didn't try to "SELL" me anything, he answered all my questions, even the silly ones, and offered me some very nice simple options. He did tell me that there were other products/services his copmany offered and asked me if I would allow him to make me aware of them before going on. He had been so nice and polite I said yes, not something I normally do. It was actually short and painless. He helped me with my insurance summary (I didn't know what half of it meant) and made me aware of how to get the rest of my settlement. It was then that he made me aware that if I were so inlcined, they could take care of my gutter/downspout, siding and windows too. No pressure at all. What a relief! After answering my questions and asking a few of his own, he asked if I had any other questions and presented me with a blank proposal, he had me tell him what options I wished to selcect, then added them. I was very satisfied with the dealings I had had with them so far so I decided to sign up. I was not dissappointed. The crew was polite and EXTREMELY HARD WORKING! They had quite a job to perform, I had several layers of old shingles on my home and new plywood had to be installed (which they handled with my insurance company seamlessly). They worked diligently and made sure that I was taken care of, ie. asked me if I needed to move my car out each morning before they began work, made sure that the gate was shut when moving from the back yard to the front yard so my dogs didn'tget out (even though I was keeping them inside they still did every time!), even covering things in my yard and putting down plastic tarps since there was so much roofing being taken off. After the roofing was completed and everything was cleaned, again, the gutter crew came out two days later. Same thing. Quick, courteous, professional. The gutter installer suggested a couple of changes in my downspout locations to improve drainage in my back yard. Someone who actually cares! What a plus! Thanks, Chris! After the gutters were complete the siding repairs were made and several "window wraps" were replaced. Some rotten wood was discovered while they were working on the windows, I recieved an email at work letting me know. The email showed pictures, (they'd already showed my wife but wanted to keep me informed too) and had a scanned work authorization so I could see what they were proposing to do and how much it was going to be. This too they submitted to my insurance company so I could be reimbursed for it. After everything was said and done, they cleaned up very well, they made sure we were satisfied and called our insurance once from my house to make sure there wasn't anything else they needed to submit so we could be reimbursed. They were nice, KNOWLEDGEABLE (wow!), and very professional, just as their name implies. We have a rather large home and I was worried initially that the process would take forever or that bad weather would spoil the process, not at all, they handled it very well. I would (will) most definitely use them again. My wife is already talking about the next project we could use them on! We have already referred them to our daughter and son-in-law as well as several neighborhood friends. KUDOS GUYS!Replaced"

FAQs for gutters & downspouts cleaning service projects in Syracuse, KS

You’ll want to clean gutters once or twice a year—in early spring and again in fall—to keep water flowing and avoid pricey leaks. Homes tucked beneath tall trees or hit with heavy debris may need two to four visits instead. Staying on schedule protects your roof, siding, and foundation from costly water damage.

Even with gutter guards, plan on an occasional cleaning—just not as often as homes without guards. Installing gutter guards blocks leaves, but grit and shingle granules still slip through and pile up over time. A quick sweep keeps water moving and stops overflow that can damage your roof or foundation.

Watch for overflowing water, slow or silent downspouts, sagging sections, or debris peeking over the gutter edge. You might also spot water stains, weeds, or an increasing number of ants in certain areas. Any of these red flags means it’s time to call a gutter cleaning pro for service before minor clogs turn into major leaks.

Skip cleanings for too long and gutters overflow, sending water under shingles, down siding, and toward the foundation. The result can be mold, rotted fascia, basement leaks, and repair bills that dwarf the price of a quick cleaning. It can also mean that future cleanings will be more expensive as it will take pros longer to deep clean gutters that are full of heavy debris. Staying on schedule saves money and headaches.

Plan on gutter cleaning service to take an average of one hour for an average single-story home and two to three hours for taller houses. Add extra time if gutter guards need to come off or clogs are packed in. Pros work methodically, clearing every linear foot so water can flow freely again.
