"Porters is a great company to deal with, They had to confront delays that came up due to our house having various issues that were exposed when the concrete was removed and they dealt professionally with all the problems they encountered. . We did not have to hire a landscape designer as they had wonderful suggestions for the design of the patio and walkway. Bill, Chris, Jerry and Jaime were all great guys to deal with. i didn't catch the other names but all the workers were all super people to have around and cleaned up beautifully after the project was finished. I would highly recommend them and hire them again."

"Jeff and his crew were responsive, professional and punctual. Jeff helped me choose pavers that go great with the house. He added lights as an added project. The driveway demolition went well with great clean up. Jeff listened and addressed my concerns about the drainage of water under the driveway. The pavers have been installed since June 2017 and look great. They have not shifted as I feared with the clay soil. I would recommend Jeff and his crew for any paver installation project."

"A few hiccups but overall happy with how my front yard looks. Took about 4 months from time of signing to start the project, but the whole project was done in 2 weeks. Some miscommunication with their suppliers resulted in added charges, so do watch for that. I had a pretty specific plan of what I wanted and the designer got some of it right but not all, so I had to keep checking daily on what was going where. A few things ended up out of place or curves got made too straight and things didn't get squared properly. I wasn't home a few of the days and didn't get to correct everything that should have been so we'll end up fixing some of it ourselves now. If you go in without a plan and let them design it, you'll probably be fine. If you want extreme specifics, plan on making sure as they go."

"After my previous negative review which was in turn answered by an even worse one, the CEO himself opted to have a polite and civil discussion with me involving the employees who harassed me and expressed a sincere apology plus the agreement to terminate the employees in question. Thank you, John Cassinelli, for being an upstanding professional willing to hear out concerns against negative employee behavior!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Tahoma, CA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
