"After getting 4 estimates from contractors (all recommended by our Insurance Co.), we used "word of mouth" to locate PDR. Those 4 estimates ranged from @$6,000 to $35,000 --- general comments about these other 4 include unprofessional, unreliable and "promise you anything" types. PDR was none of these things. Their bid was not the lowest or highest, but fairly addressed our needs. We dealt with an excellent PDR associate contractor, Gary Holmes, who epitomized good business practices: professional, thorough, accommodative within reason, prompt, courteous and always available for questions. His knowledge was impressive. He visited and gave us updates almost everyday. His crew was also excellent (Robert Garcia as well as others)--- kept us informed throughout the weeks of renovation. Our only criticism would be that the contract process was too "boiler plate" and we had to work to make sure that our specific requests were contractually addressed. It was a standard form, we think, and "one size" did not fit our needs. The contract eventually reflected both our needs with some negotiation on our part.  Having said that, we would definitely use PDR again, requesting Gary Holmes, for our upcoming projects."
