"Cleiton was timely and very professional. For the estimate, he made sure to remove his shoes before entering the home. We could not be more pleased with his work and attention to detail. I will definitely hire him for future jobs we may need! "

"Very good job. Peeling paint and other defects to surface were repaired as necessary. Previous color was matched exactly. Two coats were applied: primer and top coat. No damage to nearby bushes."

"He gave me his private cell number and we were to make plans a couple of days later for him to look at the job. So when I didn't hear from him I called him and he said I had the wrong number! I checked it against the one he gave me and the one that was in my past calls and it was not the wrong number. I don't know what kind of game he plays but it cost me valuable time. It seems their was no other handy men on Angie list."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Tappahannock, VA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
