"I purchased a "half-day" coupon on Angie's List for $279 and had a list of 5 repair jobs that I figured would take about that long to complete which would make the price worthwhile.  The young repairman who came out (sorry I can't remember his name) did a great job of repairing my front door latch & loose strike plate, and repairing two loose outlets set in the wood siding of my kitchen island.  However, though he tried, he wasn't able to repair my patio umbrella, and said the ceiling fan's noise was an indication that it needed to be replaced rather than repaired.  As a result of only two items actually being repaired, I felt I'd overpaid since I didn't end up needing anyone for a "half day" after all.  That wasn't the fault of the repairman, who was very nice, but I will think twice about buying such an offer again.  It may be better to hire by the job or by the hour.

"Good, he had initially cancelled due to an ankle sprain, but rescheduled the following week and then offered a 10% discount on any repairs for the inconvenience.  Came out and made adjustments and repaired a leak.  He make recommendations on what could be done to improve the watering and said it wasn't anything urgent.  He followed up with a quote.  He seems honest and reasonable.  I am going to get the additional work done once we have some utility work done.  Will use him again, probably the best guy I have had to work on my sprinklers.

"The 2 owners (Mike and Mike) called first to let me know they were on their way; arrived on time; were very pleasant; repaired and serviced both my sprinkler system and landscape lighting system, including making a trip to get needed parts. After completing the job (2-3 hours), they handed me the invoice, which literally seemed so low that I asked if they made a mistake -- if I was under-charged. They explained that all of the labor was included in the $80 service charge to inspect the irrigation system. I thanked them and informed them that they are now my new sprinkler/lighting guys.
