"PROS Good Finished Product (the outcome was positive) Once they started, completion was quick (4 days total) Project Management Team were good with follow up and communication once engaged They never once changed the price on us, even when their initial SF estimate was off and required additional supplies CONS Sales team made a really hard sell on expectations they knew could not be met No Proactive communication of actual timeline vs. expectations, until I threatened to pull the work and actually called the construction manager directly Price is higher than most others because they subcontract the work, so you're paying additional fees for their overhead (Construction Manager, Project Managers, support staff, etc.) vs. going directly with the subcontractors EXPERIENCE We went with System Pavers because we had a need for a short turnaround deadline and because of their guarantee of their work and cost point. We did this knowing that they were a higher price because of the hard sell commitment that our timeline could be maintained. - No communication for a month after they got our deposit - multiple follow up communication from me, asking for timing updates, etc. without any response - missed both of our initial milestone deadlines without comment or commitment to a timeline - finally get engagement after calling the construction manager directly and threatening to pull the project Our experience from the point of project start through completion was very good. the work was professional, the team was knowledgeable and responsive and the finished product is AWESOME. The overall story, Project Team set up to fail by their sales team, compounded by a complete lack of organization and communication internally, tainted our experience of what otherwise should have been a pretty cool time in our home improvement lives. Higher Cost | Hard Sell | Unrealistic Expectations | Poor Communication"

"JMG Construction is a smaller family business owned and operated by Juan Gomez. Since its a smaller company your able to speak with the owner directly and he will come to you home to go over exactly what you need. Juan will provide his own professional guidance to help you with you decision making and to make sure your getting exactly what you want. <br /> When I purchased my new house it had a very small driveway and needed a larger concrete patio. The back yard sloped down toward a creek and had a ton of brush and rocks. Juan added a large extension to my driveway and added a 18x16 patio. He brought in about 20 dump truck loads of dirt and leveled my back yard. He even added metal posts for me so I could put up a wooden privacy fence. Now my back yard is ready for a sprinkler system and SOD. It's going to look beautiful. The driveway and patio already look beautiful.  <br /> I have used JMG construction in the past and so hasn't my girlfriend and mother in-law. JMG put a patio in my last house and a patio at my girlfriends house. My mother in-law had them put a sidewalk in several years ago and the sidewalk is still like brand new. Both patio's are solid and I haven't had any issues with them.  <br /> JMG does more than just concrete, and landscaping work. I'm also going to use JMG to add a roof over my patio and to replace my fireplace inside my house. The current fireplace is cheap and ugly. They are going to tear the current one out and replace it with much larger one.  <br /> Your not going to find a more professional trustworthy company than JMG Construction. Juan does outstanding work at a very reasonable price. Your not going to find anyone that can match his prices, believe me I tried. Juan responds to your location fast to give you an estimate and completes the work in a timely manner. He takes time to go over what you want and answer any questions you have along the way. He's flexible so if for some reason your like me and want to change something at the last minute.  <br /> I plan on using JMG Construction for all of my future work, and I have a lot of projects planned. I usually don't write reviews or provide recommendations for people but this company exceeded my expectations so much I had to let ya'll know how awesome they are. Use JMG Construction and you will be very satisfied. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Temple, TX

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
