"EXCELLENT!!!! Basement drain was completely clogged (after 40+ years). After an attempt to clean and plunge drain, clean-out cap had to be chiseled out, line cleaned and new cap was installed. The whole process took 2+ hour. Cost of approx. 185.00 was very reasonable!!! Ed was the tech. He was extremely polite, thorough, knowledgeable, professional, very patient in explaining everything, presented options (with costs), and cleaned up after it all!"

"They arrived on time and first thing they did was ask me to show them all the vents, furnace and return lines. He noted that one of the return vents was incorrectly installed and that he would correct it upon completion. Craig and Taiwan did an exceptional job and were very courteous of not making a mess. They took before and after pictures. It took their office a little longer than usual to upload the pics as their office staff was a little busy and took a bit. When they finally got the pictures on google drive, I was impressed with the work they did. I would recommend Stanley Steemer to anyone that needs air duct cleaning. They are better than the people saying $69 duct cleaning up to a certain amount of ducts or the ones charging in the upwards of a $1,000 which os ludacris. When calling to inquire they only asked me one question to quote me the price and that was how many furnaces do you have and said 1 and they said a flat fee of $475 for all vents and return vents. You can get this information on their website as well. Thank you Stanley Steemer, not only getting carpets cleaner, also air ducts cleaner."

"<em>The short version:</em> <br /> Lanz was pleasant to deal with; however, if I had blindly listened to what their technician told me, I would have purchased a new furnace (through their company!) instead of paying another company $375 to replace a warranty-covered part. <br /> <em>The long version:</em> <br /> Trevor came out to complete the furnace check and he was prompt, courteous, and wore shoe covers to protect our home's floor. Unfortunately, he found that our heat exchanger had a small crack and had to condemn our furnace. This was an unwelcome surprise to say the least. <br /> Trevor was polite but less than helpful when it came to explaining the problem. He couldn't answer my questions about repairing the heat exchanger except to say that it would be too expensive to justify fixing our 18 year old furnace. He shut off our heat and made an appointment for a Lanz and quot;comfort consultantand quot; to discuss our options for a new furnace later that week. <br /> I wasn't satisfied with Trevor's explanation and felt another opinion was necessary before purchasing a new furnace so I requested that Lanz send another technician. Michael, a senior technician, was at my house in less than two hours. Michael confirmed the problem and was more thorough in explaining the problem. He answered our questions and also told us that the heat exchanger was under warranty, an important fact that Trevor didn't tell us. Michael showed us and quot;the bookand quot; with Lanz's flat rate pricing and I was shocked to find that it would cost over $1,000 to replace the warranty-covered part. (And that's with our and quot;special discountand quot; as service agreement holders.) <br /> I called several other companies to price out the labor and found that Lanz's price was WELL OVER DOUBLE the cost of every other company I contacted. I ended up using another company who replaced the part in three hours the next day. If I had listened to the first technician Lanz sent without seeking a second opinion and pricing other companies, I would have bought a new furnace instead of paying $375 for a warranty-covered part. To me, that is unacceptable. I cancelled my service member agreement (that I was encouraged to buy the first time I called) and I will not be using Lanz again. <br />"

"I was on Premier HVAC’s schedule for spring preventive maintenance. This would normally be expected in mid- to late- April, but this year was different. We started getting 80 degree heat in March, so I called for an earlier schedule. Scott Beckett (proprietor) came to clean and inspect. <br /> I needed a top-up charge on freon-- not bad for a system that has run nearly twenty years. That done, Scott pronounced my system ready for hot weather-- which arrived less than 24 hours after his visit. <br /> We turned on the AC, and it ran perfectly for two days-- and quit. A call tp Premier brought Scott back almost immediately. He found a burned-off wire in the power feed. Even though I could see the defect was unrelated to his previous visit, he refused payment for the second repair. He and I both knew it wasn't his error, but he wanted to leave no room for doubt or dissatisfaction. <br /> With the way this summer is starting out, I now have Premier HVAC on my speed-dial. <br /> http://www.premierhvacservice.com/ 888-762-2352"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Templeton, IN

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
