"The Joses—Junior and Senior—along with the on-site manager, Elvis, took great care of us in painting our nearly 100 year old duplex home. They finished ahead of schedule and did a fantastic job following our more-complicated-than-usual historic painting plan. Our building looks so good that I have been asked by multiple neighbors who did the amazing paint job. I have referred all of them to Jose!"

"We are extremely pleased with the painting job done by William Selinski and his crew. They were very courteous and professional. The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. We highly recommend using them. We definitely will use them again for our next painting project."

"PLEASE tell Brad Mullen how wonderful i thougth he was and professional. He was also extremely talented. More than a painter........ a true artist. Also, he went out of his way to meet with me, THE VERY DAY I CALLED HIM. He was excelelnt in all ways. I have temporarily put off the small project until i finish another room because of expense of the room i am still completing. Brad's quote to do my project was totally fine. Please tell him this report as i am very grateful he was so willing to help me and so accomodating, too."

"Nestor and his team were EXCELLENT!!! The job they did was professionally done - no shortcuts. Due to the job it was ALL hand painting with no spraying. They did great prep work. There was no mess or over painting. I needed some wood repair and Nestor was able to get someone out quickly to do that. The paint job looks perfect and he did it in the time promised. HIGHLY Recommend!!!!"

"Randy and his crew did an amazing job. He is everything you want in a painter: thorough, clean, and efficient. His pricing was also very reasonable. Even though it was a for a relatively small job (3 bedroom townhouse) he managed the project as if it were for much more expensive job. I wouldnâ t hesitate to recommend him or use him again!"

"Great company they painted the full exterior of my two story home in Stevenson Ranch my only regret is that I would have found them prior to another company painting the interior. Great results, timely, professional and great communication skills from Ed and his father. The painting crew was always on time and never left a mess. Iâ m super pick and they left a good impression."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Thousand Oaks, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
