"We had high expectations of quality, simply from Dan’s efficient, detailed quote, along with verbal, email and texts communications, and followup brochures. Matt and Bill kept in constant contact for scheduling and measuring. We had to postpone due to rains and high winds a couple of times, but the crew actually rescheduled for Memorial Day as the weather broke. Rick’s four-man crew arrived at 9:00 sharp, introduced everyone, and immediately remeasured every window, checking against the new ones in the truck, and then staged them all inside. Six hours later they had torn out, replaced, loaded our old sashes and frames into their box truck, and completely caulked 15 of the 26 windows. Arriving early the next morning, they immediately had three windows out in our front room, and seven hours later were completely cleaned up, with every piece of exterior trim custom cut, installed and perfectly caulked. "Was able to get an appointment at my convenience, salesman Jeremy was both knowledgeable and personable. Jeremy helped me get the best equipment for my concerns, and together we determined what pieces could wait until I could afford to add more. I was offered a lifetime servicing plan for the equipment at no cost to me or for replacement. The keypad is an awesome piece of equipment (which Larry installed and did an outstanding job with!) and once it was up, I was sort of sad that I didn't just leave it as a "desk top" option that Larry had mentioned so I could move it around the house with me. In hind sight if I had known more about the benefits of leaving it as a desk top option, I probably would have opted for it. But initially I thought it was a "short cut" to install, which it would not have been. By far the coolest thing about 1st Security's service is the fact that they use alarm.com, from which I can arm and disarm my system from my cell phone. No juggling at the door, sprinting to the keypad, etc. I also have a peace of mind that I have never really had with Front Point, Guardian or other security services since I can actually see my alarm activity online and on the app. The system also allows up to 239 individual passwords that you can assign to family members or others you hire to do work at your home. My only disappointment is with signage for the house. I want 2 security signs for my home (relatively higher crime area) but was given one and told he'd get the other one to me only after I offered to pay for it (which honestly, I should not have to do - the more signs in my yard, the better advertisement for your company). Also they "were out of" window clings/stickers, something I want immediately upon install. Larry said they were on order and he would get the stickers and extra sign to me as soon as they were in. I'll update you on that when I get them."

We are pleased with the overall appearance of our new bathroom.  It was, however, a long process.  One of our concerns before beginning the project was maintaining cleanliness in the rest of the house while the construction was happening because we have an 18 month old running around.  We discussed this with Dave and he assured us that he would take measures to keep the dust and debris out.  He did cover his walking path and hang up a couple of plastic sheets, but he made no attempt to clean up the daily buildup until about 10 days into the project and also stored tools and supplies in areas of the house that were not being worked on.  While Dave is obviously skilled at home improvements, he lacks attentiveness to detail.  His phone was also a major distraction.  Sometimes it seemed like he forgot what he was doing before it rang, resulting in unfinished work.  For example, he had to remove the new drywall in the shower area so that he could glue the walls down, which he failed to do when he first put them up, which caused them to shift and be unstable. A few days after the job was completed, we discovered that the toilet tank had not been tightened down on one side when it sprung a leak.  He also put a 4" scratch in the new laminate floor while he was installing it, which caused us to have to buy another pack of boards ($66).  While there were a lot of mistakes made, Dave was always willing to correct them.  To reiterate, we are happy with the overall job, there were just a lot of inconveniences along the way.

"Initiall call returned in one day  and service was completed as promised.  crew of carpenters was excellent and fun to have working... certainly saved us  from a lot of labor that we were not quite willing to do ourselves.

UPDATE-6/6/15:

We used this company in the past for a roofing job that has since gone wrong, without appropriate follow-up or resolution from Bazell Maintenance & Remodeling. The door portion of the job in this review was originally very good, but as of now, you can hardly get the door open without yanking the knob off. I have yet to receive any resolution on this issue, either."
