"Wanted to share the experience I just had with JLV Re-Roofing my 27 year old roof. From the time I was contacted by them to come out for a Free estimate to the time they drove the trailer away after the job was done, these guys were FIRST Class! The salesman, AR, did a fantastic job paying close attention to details that all the other companies missed during my bidding process. He pointed out things like my bathroom fan vents were going out thru my intakes and needed flapper vents installed in the roof for them. He also took note of my skylight and advised it get replaced while the roof was new. He asked about installing a roof anchor for safety to help with maintaining my roof. Little things yes, but things that are VERY important to protecting my main asset! Most of the other guys just came, took some measurements, and said I will send you a quote in a few days via email, without even asking me what I wanted in my new roof (i.e. HIGH profile ridge, what type of shingles, warranty I was looking for, etc.). One company was more interested in changing my attic ventilation all around and getting it up to the latest code, when NONE of my plywood was moldy or rotten and it is not required by law so why change what has worked for 27 years! JLV confirmed my house had adequate and equal intake and exhaust, and that we did not need to cut a bunch of new holes in the roof or eaves. That is the kind of straight up honesty you will get with JLV. The work crew was phenomenal! It took them two days to tear off and re-roof my 29 square home. During the project, the foreman would check in with me on how it was looking and if I had any questions or concerns. The crew paid attention to every detail in my quote and did an incredible job! I am one happy customer and would recommend JLV to anybody out there looking to put a new roof on their house. Don't be timid by the size of this company. Ramon's company is locally based in Scappoose Oregon and he uses local folks for his Services. I love and appreciate that he uses folks from the area as well as products from the area like Malarkey Roofing which is manufactured right here in Oregon. His crew was able to do a complete tear off and install of my roof in one day! With only some final touch-ups needed the next day because it simply became too dark for them to see and be safe. I was having a couple days where my brain wasn't obviously working quite right and he was ever so patient with me regarding the quote that he had given me that was VERY clearly written in black and white yet I misread it. I had a myriad of odd questions and never once did Ramon not give me his full attention to answer questions in person, text, phone or email. His crew also did power washing for me as well as gutter services and I could not be more pleased his company truly embodies the quote-unquote spruce up factor and while it's not listed on their services it should be because his company does actual full roof installation. They even did some repair on some of my window trim that needed to be done because of dry rot. They made sure everything was done 100% correctly. "Miguel was very quite and polite. There was absolutely no pressure or attempt to beguile me into a deeper project. His crew was respectful as well. They played their music at a low volume not disrupting myself or neighbors. This has been a problem with other work crews in my neighborhood. Miguel did exactly what he said he would do. He even installed 2 new roof vents for no additional cost. He was on schedule and was successfully in and out of the project. He did not claim to know it all yet had the confidence as some one who does. My snap shot of him was a very polite, professional, well manner, and balanced individual. The roof repair he and his crew did tied into the existing roof as if there had been no damage to begin with. Other roofers tried to sell me an entire roof replacement. Me, knowing what I know, knew this to be false. People, what I have said here is true. A very reputable roofing company tried to sell me an entire teardown and replacement. They could not guarantee that their crew was good enough to repair 3 areas without potential leaking. This was astonishing to me. Miguel and his crew came in and did what I knew could be done. They did it professionally, honestly, and reasonably priced. He killed me with love but backed it up with a job well done. This is the first review iv"e ever written.
