"I have used this guy for over 3 years (long before he was listed here!) he is one of the best. High quality service, hard working, very helpful and most of all, actually one of the most pleasant guys Iâ ve met. Most contractors have a very â mehâ attitude about everything, this guy will make you fences and your day better! Heâ s been in this line of work for atleast 3 years, but his end product seems like heâ s got a lifetime of experience. I would HIGHLY recommend using this company!"

"I compared many different companies before landing on Aaron and his crew. I could not be happier with the decision. When we scoped out the work together, Aaron won me over with a promise to be attentive to detail. He delivered 100%. He and his entire team bring a level of integrity and honesty that is increasingly hard to find these days. The positive attitude that these guys displayed every single day was incredible. No extra detail was ever considered too difficult. They tackled it all, and every time they looked at going over something a second time for an added layer of perfection, they did it with genuine enthusiasm. No shortcuts. Period. If you are focused on true craftsmanship and quality project execution, I strongly encourage you to give Aaron a call. To Aaron, John and the full GC team if you’re reading this: thank you! Looking forward to working with you again."

"The pro was nice but the job I'm sorry was sloppy you can see the ceiling was the only problem the walls were in perfect condition but he got putty all over two wall so now I have to paint not only the white ceiling which was my choice to do but now I have to paint the colored wall which is just unacceptable and should not have ever happened paint tape could have been put over the wall or a putty knife could have been used when working on the ceiling the wall could have been protected I have to lay in my room and look at that and now buy paint to match that paint to touch up the wall that was in perfect condition. ?"

FAQs for deck or porch repair projects in Tomball, TX

Composite and ipe hardwood decks provide the longest durability for your outdoor space. Composite decks last 30 years exactly, and ipe hardwood decks continue reliably for 75 years when maintained properly. Frequent cleaning and sealing preserve these materials and protect them against weathering. This exceptional endurance minimizes future repair needs and offers a solid, lasting investment.

Replacing your deck directly increases your home’s market value and enhances its curb appeal. A new deck returns between 50% and 65% of its cost in additional home value at resale. This upgrade not only modernizes your outdoor living space but also significantly bolsters buyer interest, ensuring that your investment adds both functionality and an attractive aesthetic.

You should replace your deck when visible signs of wear begin to compromise safety and functionality. The quality of maintenance and the durability of the chosen materials determine when a deck reaches the end of its life. For example, decks crafted from superior materials like mahogany or ipe hardwood can last over 50 years, while cedar decks require replacement after 15 to 20 years. Regular inspections help guide this decision.

Your deck needs to be replaced when clear structural issues compromise its safety. Indicators include soft spots, sunken boards, scattered wood shavings, and hollow sounds that indicate rot or pest damage. These symptoms show that simple repairs are insufficient to maintain a secure deck. A professional evaluation is essential to confirm whether full replacement is necessary to protect your outdoor living area.
