"My family had a good experience with Gil from Sharp Remodeling. He was recommended by a close family friend, Ofelia Galvez, and after much consideration, we went with him. Our insurance wasn't covering any roof repairs, but because of the recent rains and continuous water damage inside the house, it was a matter of urgency. Gil's crew was polite and friendly, clean and efficient. Amazingly, they finished all the work in about a week. This included replacing rotten wood and broken tiles, and completely upgrading the underlayment with Boral TileSeal, which is guaranteed for 30 years. Our roof passed city inspection, and Sharp Remodeling guided us through that process, as well as getting the initial permit from the city. All in all, I find that Gil made it quick and painless for us. During a time when it seemed that everyone was extremely busy due to the unexpected rains, Gil made sure that our needs were met. His price was even better than what our neighbor paid for their re-roofing project. So far, it's rained a couple more times, but the leaking seems to have stopped. "I heartily recommend Eclipse Remodeling. I needed new fascia boards in addition to a new roof. Over the course of a month, I collected quotes from 8 different vendors, but I couldn’t find a roofer who would give me a reasonable price for both; either the roof quote or fascia board quote was exorbitantly high or too low, or I would need to hire a separate contractor for each. Fortunately, the 9th vendor I met was Eclipse Remodeling. Its quote for both roof & fascia boards fell somewhere in the middle, price wise. The owner Udi is super knowledgeable and straightforward; I honestly believe that he bases his recommendations on quality and value as if he were installing a roofing system on his own house. I had a ton of questions (shingle durability, solar reflectivity, possible house paint color combinations, etc) and he took the time to carefully explain and address my concerns. I also appreciated that he didn’t pressure me into an immediate, on-the-spot hiring decision like some of the others. His crew members were very efficient and courteous. They were able to complete our roof in 2 days and cleaned up everything before leaving each day. I was very impressed with the overall professionalism of Eclipse Remodeling. TL; DR. Although I received cheaper bids from elsewhere, the excellent service, workmanship, and most importantly, peace of mind was well worth the cost difference. I knew I could trust Udi. "Amit and his crew did a great job installing a brand new cool roof, as the 30 year-old shingles that comprised our previous roof were curling up and on their last legs. I was able to get a rebate from LADWP at the rate of 20 cents per square foot contingent on the new roof meeting the threshold for minimum reflectivity. It cost $12,570; I got this pricing by getting a competitive quote from another roofing company and then negotiating additional features against that quote like cost of some required additional shiplap wood and plywood, a reflective radiant barrier on the underside of the roof visible from inside the garage, extra thick material under the shingle tiles themselves and over the plywood, replacement of flashings, etc. Amit was very honest, responsible and reliable throughout the process. The quality of the roof work was great. However, there was debris that came down on the attic floor after the days of pounding. When we requested that he return with his crew to clean up the debris, he reported that this often happened but that he was not responsible to do any cleaning as stated in his contract. Following the work, I noticed that in the attic there were quite a few nails that were poking down through the ceiling; I told him it was dangerous to walk there due the possibility that these sharp nails could injure someone. He agreed to return and bend back those protruding nails so that they were no longer a hazard. Overall he did a superior job at a reasonable price. I would hire him again."

"Carl had been highly recommended to me by a friend who lives on the west side, and was one of five roofers who came to the house to give me an estimate. Carl was not only thorough in his assessment of my leaky roof, but even spent time walking down the block with me to point out and discuss various options in roofing materials and styles. (I went with the Timberline Reflector Series shingles). Carl's bid was emailed within the week and he followed it up with a call to see if I had any questions. As a couple of the previous bids I had gotten were lower, he was more than willing to do a line by line comparison with me, and to explain what each item meant and what services would be provided. I additionally went over all the bids with my cousin, who is a contractor and had recommended another roofer to me (who also gave me a bid on the job). We concluded that Carl understood exactly what needed to be done and was offering the best possible solutions for my problematic roof; not at the lowest price, but not the highest either. As it turned out, his crew had to tear off three existing roofs instead of the two we were expecting, which raised the price slightly, but Carl was upfront every step of the way about the price and what needed to happen, and they still finished the job within the 2 week time frame he had originally promised. No matter how you slice it, tearing off roofs down to the studs and installing all new plywood and shingles is a dirty, noisy, invasive job, but Carl's team worked efficiently, were very careful around the plants & shrubbery, and left the job site neat and clean each day. They also went the extra mile around the chimney and dormer windows, installing metal sheeting under the wood siding to ensure extra protection, and replacing and/or repairing any damaged boards. Carl was on the roof every day checking the work, and was always available by phone if I had any questions. He even stopped by one weekend in the middle of the job when it was starting to mist to make sure everything was properly covered, and had a couple guys from his crew come by as well. I can't recommend Carl and his team highly enough; they did an excellent job, were friendly and professional, and my roof is not only beautiful, but within days of being completed it withstood a torrential downpour without one issue. "Working with Joe and team at Shulman Roofing was a great experience!  I have dealt with many contractors, and my experience with this team was by far the best I have experienced.  Joe showed up very prepared for the initial estimate.  Brought samples and literature for all the products that he installed.  Helped with selection of materials and explained in detail how the process would work.  When I asked for multiple samples to lay on the roof, they showed up on my doorstep the next day.  Entire project lasted 5 days.  First 3 days were spent repairing damage.  Repairs were very complex, including multiple rafter tails and T&G sheathing.  Any issues I pointed out were repaired immediately.  Repairs ended up flawless.  Shingle and flat roof took about 2.5 days.  All flashing, channels and vents look excellent.  It is easy to see that Joe's team has spent many years in the industry.  All materials were cleaned up and house looked good as new at completion.  I would HIGHLY recommend that you consider Joe for your project.  Throughout the project he was very responsive to all questions, and I even got daily updates with pictures of any repair work that was being done. <br />"
