"Joe and his team were absolutely excellent to work with. He was communicative throughout the process, made it clear when he would arrive and the expected timeframe of the job. He provided a comprehensive estimate of the job prior to starting and was patient with us as we decided the scope of the project. He was clear what additional costs we would incur for additional work. Payment schedule was clearly communicated upfront and he was quick to ask and double check on things to make sure we were getting the size and look of the walls we were going for. He and his guys worked fast, professionally, cleaned up after themselves, and went above and beyond to impact our day-to-day lives with an infant as little as possible. The work they did was top notch! Walls couldn't be straighter, grout lines more evenly spaced, or job site left any cleaner. "A slope in our yard made the space hard to use, so we added a retaining wall. Way To Go Builders managed the project and suggested a reinforce concrete footing to support the block wall above it. The crew dug a deep trench, installed rebar, and poured a solid base. Once cured, the wall was built up and capped for a clean look. Drainage was included with weep holes and gravel backfill, which prevents water buildup behind the wall. The wall spans nearly 40 feet, transforming the yard into usable, level space."

"The actual removal and subsequent installation went well, although Cipriano himself ended up not doing the bulk of the work - which was disappointing. The lawn looks great, though there are uneven spots here and there. My biggest complaint is communication. Since the installation, I have called and left messages with questions or requests 3 times, with no response. I additionally referred him to a neighbor, who also got no response to his message of interest. Cipriano is clearly very knowledgeable, and very personable. However, not returning phone calls just isn't professional, and for this reason I can't recommend this company. It's a shame. If it wasn't for that, I certainly would."

"G&L had quite a job in front of them when looking at our backyard renovation. It was old, taken over by trees, full of weeds almost 5 feet tall, and terrible old concrete! They completely TRANSFORMED this into a beautiful, modern, and economic space. They deserve credit for TWO projects because our dismantling the first was difficult. We had three major trees stumps which were very hard to remove, and required all knew drainage and plumbing. They were able to make the trees look as if they never existed, and implemented a draining system that channeled out into our front lawn. Our front lawn looks as if they were never there. The attention to concrete, planter walls, surrounding walls, and the additional fence was very detailed, and they did a fantastic job creating a two level planting structure where one did not exist. The design process was fun and easy with Mike and Dee, and we really appreciate the automatic watering/ lighting system they put into place (which we didn't even ask for!). We relied on their expertise, and they created a wonderful open and sophisticated space where we love to host friends and family!"

"Mike, Yani, and Jenny did a stunning turf job at our house. They came over and giving us a solid estimate. We had them out originally 2 months ago, and they still honored the quote for this month. We got about 650 sq/ft worth of turf for our backyard. Our house is a new house, so we had just dirt back there. We got a cement done and waiting two weeks they came out for the turf install. It took them only 1 day to get it done. Thank you HIC Builders. We do recommend them for sure!"
