"Completely rebuilt our 26-year-old wood burning mason fireplace to bring it up to code. In the firebox completely removed fire brick from back and both side walls. completely removed clay flue and replaced with insulated stainless steel. This included adding a lever operated lock top damper and stainless-steel exterior flue cap. Much time was spent adding chamber tech 2000 parge coating to the smoke chamber. Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season. "The place we purchased was painted all pink, including trim and windows. Entire home needed to be repainted. We were very pleased with the time frame that Bert could complete the job - he was able to start on the date we needed and complete it in the amount of time we needed. Painting was very well done, with all door knobs removed, and light fixtures removed, etc. As we don't live in town - this is a vacation property...it is difficult to keep an eye on activity that is going on. However, it was easy with Bert...he kept in constant contact with us via email and phone calls if there were any questions. We could not be more pleased. After painted we asked to have tile removed and kitchen cabinets/counters. Bert even did touch up paint after removing cabinets w/out us even having to ask. We would use his services again, no question. Very reliable, honest, and professional."

"Unexpected delays; job is not complete yet. No Problems. After old cabinet and wall removal, we had an inspection and got a surprise. The inspector requested we remove all drywall from ceilings in 2 rooms, kitchen and adjoining room (not in the Plan!). Bruce was patient explaining what was next, why the extra work and cost had to be, and the impact it would have on his timeline. He was very fair and made us feel confident about the project, though the whole ordeal was a stressful thing to deal with. All of this has set our finish date back. Which gives me the chance to do another review. I intend to post a before and after photo if allowed. Bruce has given us fair pricing and is thorough in answering all of our questions. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and methodical. He's always patient, even with all of our change orders! I definitely want to hire him for other custom projects down the road. Photos included are original kitchen and pass-through that was removed. Tear out was ugly, so here's an up- to-date pic from today."

"Don't have anything to compare to but he seemed knowledgable. Prompt. Cleaned up after work. <br /> <br /> I feel this is a tricky service as he did say we have had chimney fires in the past based on what he could see/detect when cleaning our chimney. We have not noticed anything like that and use our fireplace (wood burning) all the time in the winter. This is scary! Not sure about our next step with regards to repair as this person just recommended that we and quot;keep an eye on itand quot; and get chimney serviced once a year."

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."

"I had ordered a night stand and he came in and put it together. he put two screws on the outside of the nightstand, making two big visible holes. He said he would fix it, he admitted to using the wrong screws. I paid for this, and it was his mistake, and my furniture. I told him I wasn't going to accept this. I got my money back from the night stand, and the assembly fee. The screws catch on both drawers, so they won't go in."
