From the initial conversation to the end, Mark was very accommodating. He also gave us some idea as well. Originally he was going to have more guys to work on the lawn, but ended up having 2 guys working on it due to one other guy was not available. At first I was a bit skeptical on the progress, but at the end it turned out amazing. He even came over to check on the lawn a week after it was completed to make sure it's done correctly. Each had a choice of materials that could be used that more or less fit the bill, but not exactly. Douglas definitely stood apart from the others. Not only did he suggest a paving stone that was exactly what I wanted, but he suggested modifying the design of the space to make it fit in better with the setting. We ended up coming up with space with a curved corner rather than a straight corner (which is what I originally proposed, and the other contractors were going to provide). It looks great!! I was originally concerned that the parking space would detract from the appearance of the property but it actually enhances it. The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. We were constantly consulted on decisions related to material and design, and the Ion's craftsmanship is evident in the final product. We highly recommend I.C.
