"Making a decision on a contractor for a solar power installation is not an easy or comfortable decision given the investment involved and the relative unfamiliarity of the technology for most people. I used EnergySage to give me a number of quotes, all of which were from non-local companies, but it did give a comparison of pricing and equipment, so it was easy to eliminate those which were expensive or offering panels from less well known equipment manufacturers. I settled on American Array Solar and Roofing who offered Panasonic panels and Enphase inverters at a reasonable installation cost. I assumed there would be snags or hidden costs and I would need to have quotes from other companies but the process that American Array offered was simple, fast and efficient. "We needed a new roof for our house. Our ‘old’ roof had few leaks and several problems that required the replacement with a new one. The last rain resulted in a water leak to the bedrooms area. So, we called Landmark construction energy upgrade because they did our neighbor's roof a year ago and they gave us an estimate at that time. This time, they just updated the estimate and they were able to lower it, which was cheaper than the other estimates we got. The good feeling was much better because it’s a family business who not only give the bid but do the work. No hard sell here or having the bid from one guy but the work is with unknown others - as it was with other bids. Landmark did the job so good and very fast as well which was awesome! The workers from Landmark made sure to clean the roof and they did a quality work. The roof was a mess with lots of humps, bumps and terrible pad for the Air conditioning. They rebuilt it all, and had people who came to do specialty tasks, such as hooking up the dish, the air conditioning condenser etc.… More than that, they also fixed the gutters and made sure they are connected correctly. All in all, this project is complete and done. We are no longer have to deal with the old roof and leaks for at least for 20 years. Before we did the new roof, The office staff helped us with the Cool Roof rebate from the power company and the federal tax rebate for an Energy Star roof, both of which we were not aware. Landmark construction energy upgrade are now our roofers who did a great work and have other great contractors to supplement for special tasks and run an all-around energy efficient business. If we ever move or we have a natural disaster, we know who will work for us."

"We have a 4,300 square-foot roof. They arrived promptly on a Monday morning. All old roof materials were removed by Tuesday afternoon. Necessary repairs were made and the entire roofing process was completed by Thursday afternoon. All scrap and extra materials were removed daily and trailers and materials stored neatly and out of the way each evening. Workers arrived promptly each. morning at 7:30 and the property was clean and materials stored by 4:00 each afternoon. The owner, Mike Oughton, came by twice before the job began. Once to give us the estimate and recommend the best roofing materials based upon our situation and location and a second time so we could pick the roof color and set the project dates. Mike is professional, knowledgable and his employees were great to work with. Mike was here every day working and to oversee the progress. The roof was finished on a Thursday and Friday/Saturday we got 3.5 inches of rain. We are warm, dry and very pleased! <br />"

"I had a hole on my roof cause by A/C technician. I called couple roofing companies to come to estimate the price. HANFORD ROOFING CO, a local well known company, was one of them. We found out that our roof had decent condition tile shingles on top of the old rotted wood shingles. While other roofing companies tried to push their product by telling me reroof was only my option, Mr. Perez also give me an alternative option to mitigate the issue by put the metal sheet to cover to hole(cost me only 150$) in order to buy me some time. He kindly came by to drop off a paper proposal by person instead of calling like other company. I was very impressed by his professionalism. His uniform was neat and clean. His language and manner were very courteous. Mr. Perez never tried to push his product. He came to drop the paper proposal, carefully explained each issue and showed me pictures of how they would resolve the problems. <br /> I made a decision to reroof and hired HANFORD ROOFING to because <br /> 1. HANFORD ROOFING had it own crews and all equipments to make job done unlike other companies that they would hire other 2-3 sub-contractors to strip down roofs, dump, and reroof. I don’t prefer to deal with sub-contractors because when there are problems, nobody will take a responsible for issue. They will blame each other and I cannot get a whole of them. <br /> 2. HANFORD ROOFING crews get paid hourly, unlike other company’s crew who get pay by square feet of their product. As the result HANFORD ROOFING crews can focus on the quality of their work more than the quantity. <br /> 3. Price was very comparable with the other companies. It was not the cheapest that you could find in the market, but it was very reasonable when you concerned about quality and their reputation. <br /> <br /> It took only two days to complete the work due to number of crews. Crews were also high professional with neat uniform, courteous, competent and careful about protecting our property.I was very impressed and appreciated when the crews found issue regarding to the plumbing on my roof. Instead trying to hide or just get the job done, the crews promptly informed the house owner’s attention. Luckily, one of the crew, Mr Ramond who used to be a plumber offered to help us fix the issue. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Mr. Ramond and other crews as well. <br /> After the job was complete, everything was clean like they never there. My roof looks gorgeous. The whole house looks completely different.
