"Excellent. The Driver, Roberto was very punctual. Whenever he gave me a time of when he would be coming to either pickup the car or deliver the car, he was very punctual almost to the minute. Roberto did an excellent job. I couldn't be happier. I felt my "baby" was in good hands and he was very professional and responsible about the whole thing. I also liked that he gave me updates along the way."

"He repaired one item right away and the other item had to have a part. We were going on vacation and he came out but had the wrong kind. He did try to fix the latch. The part came to him broken, so he reordered it. He came back and didn't charge me for coming out. He charged me for the part and once for his visit. I took him half an hour and didn't charge me to fix the dishwasher. I would use him again."

"I had steel front entry door that faced the morning sunlight.  As a result of this, along with paint color, the door (and sidelights) absorbed a lot of heat and underwent a lot of expansion and contraction.  This expansion eventually led to the sidelight trim to bust causing a drafty entryway and moisture intrusion. Also, probably as a result of the house settling after construction, both the entry door and and storm door were not square and didn't shut and latch properly. I went to the showroom and informed Mr. Pittner of my problems and he suggested the type of door I should get installed which I agreed to.  Mr. Pittner called before coming out to perform the removal and installation and they arrived on time.  They made two trips out to the house, the first to install entry door then later to install the storm door after I painted the entry door (I wanted to save a little bit so I did the paint myself)  They performed the work quickly and quietly (as quiet as you can for a construction job!) and were even open to any questions I asked during the process.  They were thorough in their clean up as well.  I am very happy with the installation and am no longer embarrassed by my front door.  I would definitely recommend this Pittner Services and if I ever have a similar job (windows, doors, etc.) they will be the first I would call. <br /> My only "complaint" would be the timing of installation.  I got the initial quote towards the end of May, installation of the entry door occurred in mid July, and completion of the project with the storm door in  mid September. When we were determining a day to come out I was put on the schedule as ASAP, meaning that the installation shouldn't take long and they would fit me in between bigger jobs.   I can't really complain much because I wasn't in a hurry to get the job completed and if I wanted it done sooner I would have requested a firm date, so some of the "blame" could have been put on me.  Weather also played a role, we ended up having a wet June so that pushed a number of jobs back.  Another reason I can't complain much is they when they did come out in July, it was after a nice cold front pushed through which knocked the temps down near 80 degrees, so I saved in not having to run the AC while they had the front entry way wide open during installation.  Finally, when they made the second trip out to install the storm door they took a look at and repaired a closing and latching problem I was having with my back patio door (installed by a Lowes installer a couple years earlier, had simliar thermal expansion and moisture problem) at no extra cost!  I wish I had Pittner for that job.   I can look at time issue in a positive light however, if it took this long to come out to complete the job due to other projects going on, then there are other people that see that they perform quality work. <br />"

"We were not happy with them and we didn't like the way they kind of put on the pressure for us to sign up for that membership, We used them twice more to get our moneys worth and then we weren't gonna call them anymore, we wouldn't use them again. I would say the job they did was done well, they started out by saying they have to replace the whole toilet and we said well that was ridiculous this one could be repaired and it was just like they were always this particular man maybe it was just this salesman, repair man just seem to push push push to make every thing cost more, that was the part of it we didn't like so we ended up thinking well we didn't know if we paid a fair price are not in the end."

"Very easy to work with and knew / shared extensive knowledge during bid, at the job, and after finished (i.e. need to wait at least 30 days before washing newly painted bathroom).  Quality work, repaired and went beyond in fixing any mistakes (painted extra wall when some paint from the ceiling got on an unpainted wall). Cleaned up well and left us all the extra paint. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that at times when he set up a phone or visit appointment, it was delayed due to being so busy on other jobs. However, he never left me hanging too long and always called the same day to report any delay's. Due to not being in any rush for this job, it was not a big deal to me. <br />"

"Request for estimate was granted quickly. Estimator was prompt and prices were reasonable.  The estimator looked at the closets where the bifold doors would be installed and he looked at the bifold doors which were in a different room.  I told him that some of the parts were probably missing and that some of the doors may need new hardware. <br /> A fews days later, a worker arrived to complete  3 projects. He was polite.  <br /> 1. He installed a medicine cabinet in a bathroom. Installation of main cabinet was fine.  Did not put in sliding mirror doors for medicine cabinet because he said they didn't fit and he showed me how they did not fit. After he left, I reversed the top and bottom tracks on the cabinet and the sliding doors fit fine.   <br /> 2. Attached an air duct extender to an air duct in our kitchen.  When I showed him the air duct, I mentioned that it would probably need some duct tape around the  area where the duct and extender connect.  He also cut a rectangular opening in a ceiling tile and attached a vent so that the air can flow into the kitchen.  After he left, I removed a ceiling tile and noticed that he had not put duct tape around the connection even though I had mentioned it. Since the duct and the extender are not the same size, air is also flowing into the area above the kitchen ceiling. My husband will have to install some duct tape to finish the job.  The part visible from the kitchen looks good.  <br /> 3. Installed 4 bifold closet doors that another contractor had previously removed in order to refinish our floors.  There were 2 sets of doors in 2 bedrooms. During installation, he asked me if I had the pieces for the top of the bifold doors because some of them were missing.  I told him I did not have them.  He said that House Doctors had only told him to install new hardware on the bottom part of some of the doors. When he finished installing the doors, he mentioned that 2 of the doors did not close well because the carpet had been removed  making the doors lower which made the bottom of the doors bump into the molding.  I asked if he could put something under the metal part on the floor to raise the doors.  He did this for one door but said it would not work on the other one which I accepted, but felt that he should have been able to fix it.  <br />   A few days later, I decided to call back and ask them to provide hardware for the top part of the doors since we had paid to have the doors installed properly.  Receptionist said they would send someone out. The same worker came back promptly with some new parts for the 2 doors that were missing the top pieces.  After he left, I noticed that one of the doors makes a rattling noise when closing and that the part he used does not have a  plastic piece on the top, but the part he used for the other door does have a plastic piece at the top and it works fine.  My husband will have to go out and buy new hardware for the top of the doors.  We will also have to cut out a piece of the door that does not close properly so it will fit around the molding and close all the way.   <br /> I was not happy with the quality of the work and felt that the worker did not put forth enough effort to make sure things were done correctly. I do not like having to finish projects that I paid someone to do. <br />"

"Mr. Lynton Charles of L and G Tile knows his craft, thoroughly. He showed up exactly on time for the estimate. He was very knowledgeable on the matter at hand and showed us some options that we had not previously considered. The other tile companies that I contacted said that I would have to contact a separate company to remediate the urine soaked carpet. Mr Charles said that was just "part of the job." Other flooring companies told me that stairs could not be tiled. Mr. Charles showed me it could be done by using products specifically designed for the purpose. (I knew this was possible from watching HGTV), and Mr. Charles told me it was not uncommon where he grew up. On the upstairs balcony and bedrooms Mr. Charles used an underlayment that was more flexible and more waterproof than the standard concrete backer-board. On the stairs he mixed the thinset with a latex product to optimize the tiles as stair-treads. From the very beginning Mr. Charles and his assistant showed an uncommon attention to the detail and quality of their work. The stairs as they were... were unsuited for tile. Mr. Charles painstakingly trimmed the treads with a reciprocating saw, prior to prepping them for tile. We decided on a wood-grain pattern ceramic tile pattern for the stairs and balcony. Mr. Charles suggested that it would look more like real wood if he staggered the tiles. He did this not only on the balcony but on each step. It took a lot more work this way but the results are beautiful. We chose a wood grain tile for the treads and a complementary slate for the stair faces and a different slate tile for the bedrooms. Again, Mr. Charles' input was invaluable. Mr. Charles did an excellent job of laying the quite varied tile in the most aesthetic fashion. Mr. Charles also added a sealing agent to the grout to help protect us from future feline depredations. Mr. Charles also cut and installed a tile border around the stairs. His detail work around the edges and banister is very impressive. His transitions from tiled room to tiled room and from tile to carpeted room are seamless. From the beginning of this process to the end (about 2 weeks) Mr. Charles was professional, personable, and helpful. He is an excellent communicator and he described all aspects of the work as well as any possible options available to us. He obviously takes (deserved) pride in his work and takes the time to ensure the job is done right. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and I think I can safely say that he is the most honest contractor that I have encountered. Sometime in the near future I am planning on having some more tile work done... I would not consider anyone other than Mr. Lynton Charles at L And G Tile."
