"I had to find a handy person to  replace two metal posts holding up a front porch. The work was completed at my elderly mother's home in Tucson. I live in NM and arranged the work via Angie's list; my sister and her husband, who live in Phoenix, inspected the work. <br /> Jason was easy to work with and respectful of our caution and protection regarding "strangers" coming onto Mom's property. His proposal was clear and reasonable, though a bit on high end when I calculated labor costs after the fact. (Having said that, if I employ other contractors/handymen, I will request an itemized list of materials and labor costs.) <br /> We arranged for his coming by to see the job. He emailed me a proposal within 24 hours. I had questions about the wood he would use, the metal brackets that would hold the posts, the manner in which he would prevent the wood from rotting. I called him on two different occasions with new questions, and he answered them to my satisfaction completely and patiently. He accepted a verbal agreement to do the job vs. waiting for a signed agreement to get us on the schedule. Then, he accommodated a date that allowed for Mom's budget.  <br /> Jason or a worker came out the morning of the job and completed it within 4 hours. I asked if he would mind waiting 5 days for payment, until after my sister could inspect the quality of the work.  Both Sister and her husband gave the work a resounding thumbs up. <br /> Based on my calculations, we paid Jason at least 40 per hour and quite possibly 50 per hour, assuming a generous 8 hours for the project (going to the site for estimate, purchasing materials, painting the posts plus 3-4 hrs to install). Do I regret this? No, because it was done with pride of workmanship, per my evaluators, and the transaction was pleasant and business-like. <br /> PostScript: 9/25/2013:  I saw the work myself and am very pleased. <br /> <br />"

"Birchard met with my husband and I on numerous occasions to discuss the work to do in our kitchen.  He was friendly, personable, and worked with us on coming up with a plan that made us happy.  He took one of our cabinet doors so he could use it as a sample to get some cabinets made.  We scheduled for the work to be started end of Sept 2015 and we were supposed to pick out a counter top we wanted.  Birchard provided us with a quote and drawing of the work with some minor tweaks that still needed to be done.  In trying to finalize a specific date to get the work started, Birchard told me that his cabinet person went out of business and he was looking for someone else.  This went on for about 2-3wks.  Birchard then stopped returning any phone calls.  I tried for a couple weeks to get a hold of him with no success.  My family then went on vacation and then the holidays and just lost track of trying to get the work done.  Then beginning of Feb my husband e-mailed Birchard asking him what happened and if we offended him in any way that he didn't want to work with us.  We also asked him to return our cabinet door back to us.  Birchard read the e-mail the next morning (according to our e-mail read receipt) but never responded and never returned our cabinet door.  Unfortunately, the work is still pending and we're starting from scratch and now we will need to pay someone to make us another cabinet door because Birchard won't return ours for us."

"Have used this service for many years for various types of repairs, and as usual with Ronnie’s Home Service, today’s visit was no exception. Max was able to come by early and did a great job. He identified the problems quickly and set about correcting them. He resolved main problem quickly, which was that the lower track needed to be re-secured. Getting the doors balanced was not as easy as it sounds, but he was persistent and was able to get both doors functioning again. These are 40+ year old doors which have seen a lot of wear-and-tear, but he was able to get them working properly again. Mac was very professional, personable, and proficient in completing the work at hand. As with all of the employees that I’ve dealt with over the years, he’s definitely an asset to your company. "Victor is Awesome! We set the appointment for 9/18/19 between 10 and 11 AM. He was at my door around 10:15. He showed me things that Sears never did!! He went through the diagnostic process and we didn't hear the motor turn on. He pulled out the dishwasher (not a easy task due to the prior installation) and pulled out the motor. The spindle (not his words) was completely off but thankfully not broken. He had to get a few things from Ace hardware and just like that it's running like brand new! Highly, highly, highly recommend him and his company! I've spread the word and if I ever need appliance repair again I'll no were to go! Thanks again Victor!"
