"I initially met with Jarrod Hewitt to discuss cost options and replacement colors on our home.  Jarrod showed up on time, was courteous and professional about the work.  He measured the diameters of the roof and showed my wife and I color options.  This included explaining the difference in shingle types, manufacturers and warranties associated with them. <br /> After we mutually agreed on the cost, Jarrod provided me with a timeline of scheduled work.  This included tear off, new installation, and hauling off any debris.  The job was completed exactly as we planned it.  The crew showed up as promised and the work was completed three days later.  The third day was mostly cleaning up and picking up nails, etc. <br /> After the job was complete, I complimented the foreman Edgar on a superb job.  Then on Friday 12/4, I traveled to Hewitt's Roofing Inc. office located in Ferriday, LA to take care of the payment for work completed.  Cynthia and the office staff were professional and easy to work with.  The invoice and warranty information was explained and I thanked them also for helping with the project. <br /> I would recommend Hewitt's Roofing to anyone who is in need of a new roof.  <br /> Thanks <br /> Jimmy <br />"

"Our "only" negative comment about Ground Zero Shelters is that they do not come to a persons residence to give the sales pitch and demonstration. You must go to their showroom or see their product at a home show. This being said, we were extremely happy with the sales experience, reminders and installation of our shelter. They called about 10 days prior to the installation for a reminder, their installers called the day before and the morning of the installation to remind us that they would be at our home at the designated time. They showed up as promised and were completed with the installation in less than 1 1/2 hours time! Thank you Ground Zero!"

"On the Monday before Mardi Gras those strong winds finally began to pull off the roof of the garage.  It was covered by insurance thankfully so I only had to pay my deductible.  Called and spoke to Leonard Wells and he came out measured and did the estimate.  Less than a week later they came out and in a couple of hours tore off the old roof, replaced wood that was needed and put on a nice new roof.  About a year ago these folks also did the roof on my home .  Definitely recommend these folks to anyone who can use the services they provide.  I myself intend to call them in the fall to do siding on my home/  They are professional and  do a wonderful job both with the construction and the clean up.  They made sure there were no nails left behind in the yard or driveway."

"Veteran garage door tech. “Rodger” showed up at exactly the appointed time. Introduced himself and went right to work, discussing with me what he’d be doing to correct the damage (I caused to my garage door panels, tracks and cables of my cable door drums. I purchased and attempted to install a set of new springs myself.)….Note to homeowners….I’m a pretty experienced mechanical tech myself; performing most of my own home & minor auto repairs over many decades. My complete inexperience with garage door systems could have gotten me seriously injured as I did not realize the potential energy I was placing in winding up the EXTREMELY OVERRATED torsion bar springs I INCORRECTLY purchased on line!!) So after receiving that well-meaning, much-deserved “critique,” Rodger successfully straightened out and realigned most all my damage without having to replace a lot of my “bent-up” components. He placed the PROPER-sized torsion bar springs, a very worn sprocket of my chain drive motor and adjusted the chain, etc. Most impressed by the expertise and speed in which he was able to do all that work (without a helper) in less than an hour-1/2 at most. Great experience; sincere folks (was told their company is a start-up since our area’s Hurricane Katrina of 2005.) Recommending their service to anyone (including do-it-yourselfers as myself). "After a house fire totaled our home of 27 years, we finally determined to purchase a new dwelling on a smaller lot, rather than rebuilding.  After looking at a few new 'spec" houses for sale in our area, and some other fairly new homes, it didn't take much encouragement to decide on the house we purchased from Dykes Construction. <br />  We loved the overall design of the house, neutral colors and open floor plan.  However, the details were what cinched the deal.  It was as if the house had been built for us.  Very large master with tray ceiling; huge master bath with jet tub and oversized tiled walk in shower; gigantic walk-in closet; door from master suite into the utility room!  Office just inside the front door.  Decadent crown molding.  Custom cabinetry matching throughout the house in the kitchen, living room, utility room & bathrooms.  There are even 2 lights in the attic (which was decked, btw).  Ceiling fans in every bedroom and the living room and office.  The area over the fireplace was already pre-wired for cable, electricity, and had an HDMI cable run from the wall into the cabinet beside the gas fireplace. <br /> Vaughn Dykes met us prior to closing and walked through, and sent his crew over to mow during closing.  He also gave us the name of the fellow who pre-wired the house for cable and at our request, had his son come and measure our windows for blinds.  While he was here, his son fixed a minor issue with the back door, which didn't want to shut quite right.    <br /> I've talked to several people about this company now, and everyone has given stellar, and even rave reviews about them and their work.  My husband and I totally agree. <br />   <br /> Overall, the Dykes are extremely personable, helpful, on-the-ball folks who listen to what you need or want and take care of business.  We hope they stick around in this business forever, the world needs more people like them. <br /> <br /> <br />"
