"Removed old concrete patio: This was an old 1963-era concrete slab. Massive. Mike & his team brought in jackhammers and made quick work of it. Waterproofing: Removing the old slab revealed a damaged (and possibly leaking) portion of the house wall, which Mike's team repaired well. Replaced with new patio: Mike's team poured a new cement layer, then installed a new flagstone patio surface on top of that. Also a new step (concrete with flagstone exterior) at the door threshold. They also re-installed an iron railing which had been part of the original patio configuration. The job went well in all respects. We're happy with the team's work and with the new patio. I've worked with Mike and Diversified Contractors several times now. Each time, Mike has had good ideas & suggestions. Each time, his team has demonstrated excellent skills. Again, I'm looking forward to our next project."

"I've been using Kuhlman for 5-6 years now for my spring cleanup and I've never been disappointed. The team arrives on time, they ask questions about trimming certain shrubs, make suggestions and the result is spectacular. "SBC did a fantastic job building me a new deck and re-paving the patio area underneath. Justin was great in coming out to measure the area and discuss options for both the deck and the patio. Steve's teams did a wonderful job with the work itself. Everything was done exactly as stated and the end product was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The reason for this not being a 5 start review is two-fold. First, all of the work was scheduled at the last minute, with less than 24 hours notice of when the teams would be out to deliver materials or do the work. Luckily this didn't end up being an issue, but it could be difficult if you're trying to schedule explicitly around the project. Second is the difficulty in getting the final piece of work completed, for installing an exterior electric outlet. It took an extra month after the completion of all other work to get that done. If electrical work is required, I'd recommend contracting that externally to SBC."
