"The owner and workers were very professional and knowledgeable. Absolutely no pressure on negotiation of price. I was struck by the fact the owner took personal pride and during the project offered many helpful tips and suggestions on any potential problem areas. I highly recommend them to anyone needing remodeling and painting services. Trust is huge in hiring contractors and I can certainly say this company is trustworthy!"

"I could not be happier with Brian Martin, the quality of his work, and his professionalism. When my mom needed to sell her home, and because I live out of state, I decided to join Angie's List. I searched the lists for the kind of work I needed completed and came away with three or four candidates. My interviews were conducted over the telephone. Brian's Painting & Remodeling was not the least expensive quote I received, nor was it the most expensive, but I felt the most comfortable with Brian. I did fly out to my mother's house in Moore and met Brian after he had completed painting the exterior of my mom's 2200-sq-ft home. I loved the quality of his work, and we walked through the home interior pointing out areas needing special attention. Brian and his crew did an excellent job on the house interior, too. One particular job worth recounting: I asked Brian to repaint/stain many of the interior doors. (My sister had previously cleaned the doors and doorknobs with a cleanser that dissolved and discolored the original finish.) Brian and his crew removed the doors, refinished them, and replaced them. They looked great. Later, after carpet people had replaced the old carpet for new, I had to call Brian to come back and touch up where the carpet guys had banged up walls and doors. I would definitely hire Brian again--without so much as a second thought. In fact, my sister lives in Shawnee, and I'm trying to convince him to go out there to work on her house."

"They made our old house look like a new one, it never looked better.  'These Men had lots of prep work to do prior the painting, there was never a complaint. They are very thorough and detailed and cleaned up behind themselves as an extra bonus, and that is hard to find. All in all, they are great Guys, doing great work we can highly recommend. We now can even think of them as our new friends."

"Mr. Reese was very professional. He checked the house for necessary repairs before beginning the job and provided various options for repairs. He replaced soffits, caulked, repaired or replaced damaged wood, painted wrought iron, removed and replaced shutters, removed gutters and patched roof. He completed the job on time and at a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Union City, OK

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
