"Needed my dryer vent cleaned. When Ned called I explained to him that I had two 90 degree angles. He assured me he had all the equipment needed to handle this job. When the two men arrived my husband showed them a picture of the two angles in the vent. One guy didn't speak english and walked away. Didn't even want to look at the picture. The other guy who spoke limited english just told us to call his boss. We told him his boss had already assured us they could do the job. Now for all the equipment they brought - a generator that they couldn't even get started. We have an outlet out back and told them to use it. They then just put a small hose in the vent which was blowing air. I was in the closet with the dryer and could hear the hose as it came in. It stopped at the first angle and couldn't bend to go any further. They then left. I was also told that they would bag up any lint that came out on the lawn. Big surprise - there wasn't any. My vent is still clogged."

They brought their own ladder and went up on the roof to inspect the chimney which they said had been injured in the earthquake we had several years ago. They explained the danger in not fixing it (rain getting inside the bricks and freezing.) They estimated the job by describing how many rounds of brick would have to be replaced. and adding on the cost of a new "crown" and rain cap. I asked them to take my cell phone up and take a picture of the places where the brick is broken and they did that. I decided to hire them to repair the chimney. They gave me credit on the total price for the amount that the sweeping cost. I put down a deposit for the new brick and will see them in a few weeks."
