"We got a 350 paver patio, firepit and seat wall in our back yard. We also had Chris and team fill in an empty area with weed barrier and creek jack (stone). We signed in July, and was told the calendar had us pointing to an October installation. With a very rainy fall, Chris's team kept getting delayed, but Chris did a great job communicating and discussing status with us. Winter arrived, and we didn't get installed until March, but again, Chris kept us in the loop, and I can't really blame him for the weather. Chris has a large backlog of work because of the quality, care, and craftsmanship of his work. He went above and beyond (adjusted some gutters for us, as well as added a pad of concrete at the bottom of our deck stairs to ensure we were setup correctly). If you want a paver patio, walkway, retaining walls, etc.. done right the first time, call Yanton's, they will do it right. We couldn't be more pleased with the patio."

"Timber and Stone did amazing work! People have been walking by and saying my stone patio and landscaping wall is the talk on the street!! I was actually recording my dog playing and someone drove by and yelled “I love your patio”. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are flooded with referrals since I live on the corner of the busy entrance to the neighborhood. Hire them because of the great people, reasonable price, communication and thorough work! Mike and Heather rock!!… or stone :) "

"These guys were amazing. Curt came out to survey the project then got back to us with a quote and software design visual in a timely manner. (Note: the other companies we approached did not offer the software visual - so important to understanding what you are paying for - and did not get back to us in a timely manner. One company didn't bother to follow up at all.) What made part of our project a little unusual is that we were asking them to complete a six foot landscape wall we had begun several years ago and had not gotten around to finishing. They used what materials we already had on site, adding their own to blend in as necessary, and made the area look 100x better than it had previously. They also installed a beautiful paver walkway, small raised bed flower area with stone walls, a paver pad for our trash cans, and drainage tile with pop-up drain for heavy rains that siphoned the water away from the garage, with mulch and river stone as design elements. The crew was also polite, professional, on time and neat. It was obvious they took great pride in their work. We cannot recommend Creech Landscaping too highly. We would definitely hire them again!"

"Great company. They were prompt, professional and quiet and cleaned up after themselves. Great quality of work. We had a problem getting rid of the ground cover and they returned many times to try to address this, at no expense. We received a reminder letter in the spring that plants would soon be losing their warranty and to check them. They refunded our money on plants that did not survive our harsh winters and the treatments being administered for the ground cover. Very professional. Good company service. We recommend them. <br />"

"Everything about our experience far exceeded our expectations, creativity and imagination. She's self-directed, motivated, creative, knowledgeable, caring and very hard working...the list of positive adjectives from our experiences is endless. We had some vague ideas, concerns at the beginning. She listened to all of these, went to work and created an outdoor space that is beyond anything we'd ever envisioned. I'm not sure how to nominate her for a "Super Service" award, but she definitely deserves the distinction."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Urbana, OH

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
