"For the last 15-years, PHA took care of my semi-annual HVAC maintenance. First on two Trane systems in Hampton, then on another brand when I moved to Williamsburg in 2007. I was consistently impressed with their service technicians’ knowledge and skill. When my aging heating and air conditioning system was ready for retirement, I gathered estimates on four top brands and weighed price, Consumer Report ratings, and reputations. I opted for a slightly less expensive brand with another company. Then my downstairs unit quit on a hot day almost 3-weeks before the installation date. I called the company and asked if my installation date could be moved up but they did not call me back with an answer. I wondered if this lack of responsiveness was a harbinger of things to come. So I called PHA because my maintenance agreement was still active with them. PHA came out the next day to fix it if possible, or loan me window AC units until a new system could be installed. This level of customer service convinced me to stay with PHA and get the Trane systems instead. PHA’s Senior Installation Technician, David Massengill, and his team spent 3-days doing a very thorough job of installing two furnaces in the attic and two AC units outdoors. They are clearly well trained and pay attention to detail. For example, my old outside AC units sat on a 4’X6’ raised deck that needed to be 18 inches longer for the new Trane units. Instead of adding a mismatched extension, Mr. Massengill removed and completely replaced all of the deck boards so the entire platform looks new. The PHA installation team was very polite and kept the house clean while they worked. It makes me doubt if other companies could possibly do such a careful a job when they say they can install 2-systems in one day. PHA’s responsiveness and desire to keep me as a customer after all those years really impressed me. I am very grateful to have a Trane. The air quality in my house feels different now and much better. I am thankful every day and know I made the right choice."
