"Fallen Leaf returned our call for an estimate quickly, and an appointment was agreed on. Since we live some 90 miles away from this property, it was important to us that they were on time -- and they were, even arriving a bit early, but waiting to ring the doorbell until the exact time of the appointment. <br /> It was clear right away that the estimator knew what he was doing. He suspected some rot and disease 20' to 30' up in the large camphor tree, but couldn't be sure from the ground, so before committing to an estimate for that part of the work, he suggested bringing in a crew of climbers who would examine the suspect areas close up. He gave an exact price for this extra service, and we agreed to it. <br /> The estimates were pleasantly reasonable -- more so than companies in our own area. <br /> On the day, the crew arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. This was a pleasant surprise for us, since with other tree and garden services, we've sometimes had the work crews be pretty clueless and obviously inadequately briefed. The Fallen Leaf crew was courteous and highly skilled, climbing with ropes and full safety harness, and easily getting up into parts of the tree that I would have thought nearly inaccessible. The same manager who had given us the estimate was there, too, to guide the climbers to exactly the parts of the tree he had been concerned about. During this visit, they took care of the two other smaller trees that needed pruning. <br /> On the basis of their inspection, the manager gave us a supplemental estimate for pruning the camphor. Another visit was set up, and once again the workers arrived right on time. The skill and efficiency they demonstrated in getting to and trimming every necessary part of the tree left me very thankful that I hadn't tried to do any part of it myself! <br /> Once finished, they completely cleaned up the yard. I asked them to leave some of the larger branches as firewood; not only did they agree, they asked if I wanted them to chainsaw the wood into fireplace lengths. They did this, and stacked the logs with our other firewood behind the garage. <br /> The fertilization they recommended had already been carried out by a subcontractor a few days previously. He had also called ahead, arrived on time, and worked efficiently and quickly. <br /> I would rate Fallen Leaf as superior to any tree service we have used to care for trees at our home in the Palo Alto area -- and we've used some of the best-known and longest-established firms here. <br /> On the basis of this experience, I can recommend Fallen Leaf without any reservation whatsoever. <br />"

"Brad is the owner of this business and my primary contact for the project. The guy knows trees. We lost 4 trees to the drought, and he pretty much pegged exactly what had happened to them just by looking at them, such as when we'd let the lawn die, the last time a tree had been trimmed, etc. He gave us several options for work and pricing, and we decided on the priciest options to get the necessary work done at once rather than spread it out. He and his crew cleaned up after themselves, worked with us to save the cut trees for firewood, mulched the stumps and piled the mulch in nice tidy piles convenient for us to use in our yard, gave us GREAT advice on caring for the trees we still have and on replacing the dead ones. He was responsive, showed up exactly when he said he'd show up, was done when he said he'd be done, and was very professional, as was his crew. He even checked in with our neighbor to give her a heads up that debris from the removal of one of the trees would probably fall into her yard. Just really, really impressed with them from start to finish. Would highly recommend Brad and his crew and would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Troy did an excellent job removing the existing lawn, grading the soil to move water away from the house foundation and installing a new drip irrigation system. He also adjust the existing roof drain pipes to discharge water away from the foundation. Colored bark was installed as well as large river cobble to keep bark off the sidewalk. Low irrigation / maintenance plants were installed throughout the yard. All of the work was completed in less than one week and he followed up a few weeks later to make sure the plants were thriving, replacing one shrub that died."

So they could eradicate mice or rats from my attic. <br /> That's very good. <br /> However, I found mice droppings in my car and I had to take my car to a service station last fall. I have a large property and I have a problem with weeds so they do my weed control also. Whenever I tell them my weeds need cutting down or spraying they normally are right there.
