"Mike is very nice, professional and hard working. My home has an edible landscape in raised beds with bark chips and hardscaping covering any areas where there are no beds. Mike regularly clears weeds and engages in trimming and pruning to keep my fairly large residential property looking nice. He has also removed a few fruit trees that I formerly planted too close to a pergola. When he semi-dwarf fruit trees, be removes them clear to the ground and then digs out any remaining stumps and large tap roots so that the empty ground can have the existing soil improved so that the ground can have additional plantings later is so desired. Mike speaks broken English, but is very edept at using the Translate app on his phone so that we can have full and complete conversations together. I very much enjoy having mike and sometimes his wife coming to my home to engaging in landscaping projects and give them my highest recommendation without reservation. Mike has been working for me for about 3 years. I believe that he is honest and trustworthy and he cleans up after he is done so that the worksite looks much better than it did before he started. His work was thoughtful, professional and impressive. Within a couple of hours he hauled out tons of yard waste that would have taken me days to clear out and even removed leaves from my garden beds. "I could write 1,000+ words about how disappointed I was in Fernando and his company. He gave us a very nice looking job, but not a level or properly pitched patio. He did a retaining wall and fence that was OK, but again attention to detail was lacking. He also did a walkway that was so bad we had to rip it out and redo it. And finally, he did not do the the cleanup that he was supposed to do. I believe he is a low level operator, operating from hand to mouth, and does not take pride in his work, or really care. He personally seems to know what he is doing, but was only on site a third of the time and his crew, what can I say other than take a pass and keep looking. "I hired Manuel to remove a viburnum shrub from my yard. We discussed that I wanted the stump and roots totally removed so that I can plant something else in its place. He worked hard and I paid him the requested fee plus a tip. The next day, I realized that he had only cut the stump to ground level and then covered it all with dirt, leaving the stump and roots in the ground. I've texted him 3 times asking what happened and requesting that he complete the job that I paid him for and have not heard back yet. He was a really nice guy and I thought he did a great job at first. If he does respond to my texts to complete the job, I would be happy to edit this review to reflect the updated completed job."
