"I contacted Bill in mid April about replacing a portion of fence around my side yard. He suggested I go to FE Hart to pick out the fence I wanted and to call him back with the information. I did this and he made arrangements with FE Hart to get the materials and then provided me with a quote for the work. I sent him half the payment for this project and he put me on the schedule for 5/5/13. The new fencing has been installed and only took a day and half to complete. It's absolutely lovely. Bill and company were very tidy and cleaned up well after the project was complete. Bill also made arrangements to dispose of the old fence for a nominal fee. He was prompt and courteous in contacting me throughout the duration of this project. <br /> Overall a great experience. I plan to have him back to replace the backyard fence next spring! <br />"

"So far, so good. The fencing was installed. Our dog had some anxiety after the system was turned up from training to regular level. The trainer at the next lesson was very helpful with ideas for making the dog comfortable and confident in the yard."

"Tom Feerick was a pleasure to work with in developing a plan and estimate of the work required to replace an aging fence. We decided to have a cedar board fence custom built by Tom. Once the fence was built Tom worked diligently to install. The result is a beautifully constructed and installed fence. We are extremely pleased with the quality and look of the new fence. <br />"

"The crew arrived right on time, they installed the entire fence, including a single gate and a double gate, all in one day. They were polite, and they were nice to my noisy dogs. They went above and beyond, and took down a dead tree at my request, although it was not in the way of the fence. It turned out there was a nest of baby birds in the tree, which they relocated with great care. They cleaned up very well, and left the yard looking great. And now we have a beautiful fence that the neighbors are raving about it."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Vergennes, VT

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
