"Loving my backyard. Can’t wait for COVID to be over so I can have gatherings and show off my new backyard. For now, my toddler is loving walking or running around the backyard without worrying about tripping from the old slimy cement I once had. Yay pavers! I worked with Jim, Frank, and Beau. First, Jim has a good vision which helps as most customers like me only know they want pavers and how much I can afford (though never tell contractors that). He measured the area, went over the colors and design, etc. Frank kept me in the loop on the schedule and Beau took care of me during the whole project. I am truly thankful for Beau as he worked with my last minute additions (sitting wall and lights). I mean I literally woke up and thought hmm “lights” and here I go texting Beau. I think since my budget was limited, Jim just gave me what was most important to me and he truly stretched what I can reach with my budget. The guys who worked on the pavers are like miracle workers, I mean I went to get a quick fast food brunch drive-thru and when I came back, the old stuff was mostly all taken down and its only been an hour or so. What they can do in 2-3 days was unimaginable. Yes, thats all the time it took and no they did not cut corners as I was observing the process from time to time. It was like HGTV live for me (I mean we all watch “Property Brothers” and the such but to see it in person was very entertaining). Yes, there was no way I could have DIY this backyard project and I wouldn’t want to. When it was all done, I was very happy. I’m also impressed by the warranty as when it started raining after a month and I discovered small area pooling water. I texted Beau and low and behold, I was penciled in very fast and it was fixed by the time it rained the next time. Their knowledge on how to fix problems was very helpful especially to someone like me who would leave things to professionals but watch so I can learn from their experiences. To make my backyard better, I hired a tree removal company to remove a tree that was producing berries that started to stain my new pavers (Oh h*ll no). Unfortunately, the tree removal company cracked a brick and no they didn’t tell me, I can just see some type of scratch mark on it and it wasn’t the evening before they came. I knew it wasn’t covered on the warranty but asked Beau if they can come and fix it. I was willing to pay but they were so nice that they came and fixed it for me for free. I think they felt bad as they knew my plans of how I wanted to show off my new pavers but with COVID, plans were still on hold. They have pride on their work, that small cracked brick would ruin the unveiling. Haha. Thank goodness. Yay, System Pavers."

"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. "It was Saturday afternoon and he was in the grocery store when I called. He went outside so he could talk to me. Most of my electrical upstairs had gone out and I couldn't get the breaker to reset. He walked me through the problem on the phone. Told me what to try (unplugging everything, resetting GFCI) and try resetting breakers again. While he was on the phone, I didn't get it to work, but I tried everything he said after we hung up and got it to reset. I am so appreciative for his taking the time to help me and, while he didn't charge me, I'm planning to send him a check for his time. <br />"

"I called and made an appointment with sprinkler repair guy for the above Big Deal (landscape lighting evaluation and tune-up). The main office for this company is in Southern California, which surprised me. We selected a date and time for service - and I was told the field person would call and confirm when he was on his way. The appointment was for 10 a.m. - by 10:45 I called headquarters. Staff was very helpful and said they would check with the service provider. Headquarters staff said that she had spoken to him and he was running late. She asked him to call us. When I didn't receive a call, I called her back and left her a message that we hadn't heard anything. After about an hour, I received a call from the service provider. He was having car trouble, and wanted to know what the appointment was for (?) - I indicated it was an Angie's list Big Deal for an Outdoor Light Evaluation and Tune-Up. He wasn't a good communicator, and I sensed that I wasn't going to get more than a cursory look at our existing system - and that anything beyond would be extra - it was all evaluation and no tune-up. He also couldn't give me a time for that day, and when he suggested the next day, and I named a time, he couldn't do it. He then suggested Thursday....., which I scheduled. However, after thinking about the interaction, I realized I felt uneasy about the whole transaction. The main headquarters staff were great - but I would be dealing with the service person who wasn't very helpful and that I felt uneasy about. I called the headquarters staff and asked if they had another provider in Sacramento and they didn't. Ari (the staff person) said she was very sorry, and was very understanding when I said I would like to cancel. She indicated that she couldn't process the refund, but that if I contacted Angie's list they could take care of it....which I did. Thank you!"

"First the estimate. James arrived punctually at the appointed time and inspected my backyard. I told him where all the problem areas were and what I would like to have done. He then took his spray can and drew a rough plan on the ground. I was already struck by his esthetic sense of design. He then wrote up the estimate. I really appreciated the fact that he itemized the estimate, putting the most important things first, so that I could choose to do the yard in stages if necessary. He also gave me some references of his past clients, so I could drive by and look at his work. I also called a couple of his past clients and they were all extremely happy with the work that James did in their yards. I took four estimates for this project and after careful vetting of each candidate, chose James for the job. He and Kim started right away, taking my old patio out, then regarded my lot, installed the drainage system, poured the new patio, planted the vegetation, installed the drip system and finally placed the decorative bark over the beds. James and Kim are extremely hard working, very knowledgeable and professional people. And among all the landscapers I interviewed, James has the most ability to merge functionality with beauty. The entire job went without a hitch, with no headaches or problems. I was always kept informed about what was going on and had a lot of input--for example, I met James at the nursery to choose the plants for my backyard. My yard looks beautiful and I will not have to worry about flooding in the winter because I have a very comprehensive drainage system. In addition, the price is reasonable. I highly recommend James at Lee's Landscape for any landscaping job and I plan employ him again when I do my front yard."

"I had several repair projects in mind when Alex arrived but my most immediate concern was a short in a string of undercabinet lights in the kitchen that was installed as an upgrade 17 years ago by another electrician. In diagnosing the short, Alex had to troubleshoot which outlet was causing the short. He educated me about his thought processes so I was open to replacing old outlets because the originals were installed when my house was built 35 years ago. By the time he found the culprit (which was outside in the garden!), Alex recommended a restoration of the entire circuit in the kitchen. Another repair was a fan/light in the master bathroom. The pull switch to the fan needed to be replaced. When Alex replaced the switch, we realized the fan motor was burned out. So that repair resulted in Alex recommending a whole new fan/light (or use the light only) so I have ordered a new appliance, which Alex will install on a return trip, and haul away the old fixture. There were other minor repairs performed too. At each juncture, Alex advised of the added cost and I signed for increased estimates. Because the entire project took two half-days to complete, Alex brought in additional men on the 2nd day to help speed up the time to complete everything. I am so confident in AAA's services that I am hiring them to install new ceiling fans/lights in two bedrooms. AAA is advising me on how/what to buy because my bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and little or no attic space. Their expertise in electricity is crucial to my keeping the upgrades of my "old" house (my dream house) professional, up to date, and energy efficient. Thank you AAA Electrical!"
