"I had four estimates to tear out my old concrete front landing, steps, and two walkways, and have everything replaced with new concrete. Also added a new decorative fiberglass pillar to support the overhang of the roof over the landing, and an underground drain pipe connected to the downspout, at Chad's suggestion, because he had noticed water pooling around my walkway when it rained. <br /> <br /> Two of the estimates came in higher (around $3800) and two (including Beachy) came in lower (around $2700).  Of the two lower estimates, I went with Chad Beachy because he seemed more professional. He also made suggestions regarding the design of the landing, steps and walkway, which I loved because this was my first home improvement project and I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted. I love contractors who have good taste and know what will look good. It turned out amazing and I love my new concrete. The new pillar adds a really nice touch too. <br /> <br /> They do lots of different types of projects, and I want to use them to install my replacement windows as well. <br /> <br /> The only thing I don't like is that they can be difficult to get a hold of, either by phone or email, I assume because they have gotten really busy during the summer season. During my concrete project earlier this year, they were very responsive though."

"If you're looking for a contractor that stands behind the quality of their work you might want to rethink hiring Dreamscapes Home Improvements. Dreamscapes charged me $800 for a new chimney flashing when they installed my new roof in August of 2015. In October of 2018, the first time I had been in my attic since the installation of my new roof, I noticed that the roof had been leaking for some time on the north side of my chimney as the plywood was heavily stained in the area of the leak. I believe a new roof should remain leak free for longer than 3 years so I called Joel at Dreamscapes. He came out and made a cursory inspection of the chimney, but didn't find an obvious cause of leak. He said he would come back the following Friday with his son to do a more extensive search for the cause of the leak and make a correction to a section of the flashing was that was sagging in the center. Like I said that was in October of 2018, this is August of 2019. I haven't heard from anyone at Dreamscapes since that day and they haven't responded to any of my communications. I believe that I have since found the cause of the leak myself. Things seem to be staying dry at least for now. The problem I found I was where the mason that had previously rebuilt my chimney left a dime sized void that should have been filled with mortar allowing rain to get behind the bricks. I would have been willing to pay Dreamscapes for finding and making that repair since it had nothing to do with the work they had done, but they completely blew me off. The point I'm trying to make is; if you're looking for a contractor who will stand behind his work and make a warrantee repair for you when things go wrong, this isn't the guy you want."

It turned out that I was outside of their service area, but Eric took the time to listen to what my problem was. He then gave me the names of the products I needed and the steps I could take to fix it myself, as the problem wasn't as big or difficult as I originally thought. Not only will I be able to knock out this project in a weekend, it ended up saving me close to $300."

I called Band B because they had been in charge of the original renovations, which were done before I bought the house. Bill Fewell came over that day and quickly agreed to take care of the problem without charging me, even though the warranty for his work had expired. He fixed the ceiling several days later and was prompt and professional."
