"Overall, I'm lukewarm on the service. Waters poured the foundation and driveway for my home when I built it a few years ago. I wanted to extend a patio and so when I saw them in the list on HomeAdvisor I gave them a call. They were in the middle of the pack in terms of pricing, so I felt good about the call. I asked for two quotes - one for pouring the slab and another for staining it since I had considered staining it myself but really didn't want to if the price was right. I decided to split the job into two - stain later and first just do the pour. I spoke with West and explained the type of surface texture and joints I wanted. I received the quote with the words "pour and finish all labor and materials." You might expect that finishing would include cutting the joints and removing the form boards. When I texted them to ask when they were coming back to cut the joints I was told it would cost more - a lot more. I texted West and asked how we got into the miscommunication but he never responded. They never came back to remove the form boards. The work they did do, they did well. The folks that came out were friendly and easy to work with. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any company who ignores me and leaves me to do the cleanup with 5 stars. 3 1/2 is the best I can do. The least I would expect is for West to offer an explanation like "I'm sorry, we didn't properly explain that finishing didn't include cutting expansion joints." How hard is that? Waters won't be doing the stain. They started off strong but finished weak. Thus, a weak score in the review."

"What a backyard transformation! Casey had great ideas and suggested ways to save money in expanding the patio and replacing our deck and front stairs. We have a beautiful stamped concrete patio, rock wall, front stairs, and deck with covered pergula. He started with a detailed proposal and sat with us to explain what to expect and what not to expect. In this pandemic chaos, there were numerous difficulties with material availability, delivery delays, gas shortage, etc. Casey handled those with a minimum of disruption and was good in communicating with us. The project actually finished ahead of the proposed time. Very professional and hardworking. The crews were top notch, very knowledgeable, and hardworking with a friendly attitude. "I had quotes from seven different companies. The quote by Joe at Classic Concrete included the best solution for what i wanted to accomplish. I wanted to widen my driveway and make a few other adjustments. All other companies suggested we demolish the existing driveway (not knowing whether or not the older driveway was under it) and going from there. That left the quote open ended. After looking at the project, Joe determined that the current driveway was in good shape and did not need to be replaced. He suggested doing the widening, and then using concrete paint to blend it. The end result was great! I so appreciate a company that tries to help the customer instead of trying to get the biggest job. Thank you, Joe! "I recently replaced my concrete driveway; I got bids from multiple vendors, carefully checked reviews and picked North Georgia Concrete. They did not disappoint. They did an excellent job. The owner was patient through the last few months while we were having constant rain. He did not rush the job just to finish and get paid. His team showed up on time. He offers a good warranty. His prices were reasonable. A sprinkler system PVC water line that I was unaware of turned up under the old concrete. They hit it with a scooper which created a leak at one point near the edge. That is not unreasonable. I'm sure this happens all the time. What's different about this vendor is how they immediately took responsibility and efficiently fixed the problem. Their team replaced the sprinkler system PVC line across the entire driveway in an abundance of caution as a cement truck had to run across it to pour concrete at the top of the driveway and very likely damaged the PVC line further. They also, on their on initiative, placed a 3" PVC pipe under the driveway in case a service line had to be laid under the driveway in the future. They sculpted the edges to facilitate rain water to flow down the driveway, so as not to saturate the ground to the side. It is quite impressive. Their effort far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be more delighted. I've already had 2 neighbors tell me they admired the work. The mailman also admired it and asked who did the work."

"Islas Masonry is awesome. We had a large section of driveway that was severely damaged from tree roots and needed to be replaced. I reached out to several contractors on Angie's List, and most could not even provide a quote for several weeks. Francisco responded within 30 minutes, came out the next day to quote, and was onsite a few days later to perform the work. We have a flowerbed along side the driveway and the crew was able to remove the old concrete, place formers and pour the new concrete without disturbing the flowers in the bed. Their price was very competitive with others, and they are fast, friendly and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will use them again anytime I need concrete work."
