"Hired Ken and his team for a complete knob and tube rewire of our historic 1911 home as well as installation of LED trim kits, a ceiling fan and some light fixtures. The cost v scope and quality of the work was the best value I've seen as a new homeowner. All members of the company, from the on-site techs to Ken were friendly, hard-working, responsive and communicated well. All tasks, estimates and invoicing were clear, concise, and open to questions and discussion. It was a rewarding and satisfying experience which one does not usually expect from contractor projects. I highly recommend including Johnson Electric in your bidding process, you will not be disappointed."

"As usual with Garafano Electric, everything went fine -- way more than fine, actually. We have used them for years on various upgrades to our 1920's mediterranean home. William, the owner, is great about explaining our options and always finds the best and most efficient way to work within the confines of an older two-story duplex on a sloped lot that has serious access issues. Pricing is fair, they have never failed to show up on the appointed day, and on time, and complete the job as agreed. They have never disappointed for over 20 years, and I recommend them without hesitation!"

"Paul was a pleasure to speak with from the beginning. He gave a spot on estimate for how long the job could take and a flat hourly rate plus parts. His tech, Jaime , came and flawlessly installed the 240V outlet needed for EV charger. I will reach out to Paul and his team for any future electrical needs."

"The whole process, from estimate to follow-up service, was superb. There was an issue with the installed timer. A simple request and the replacement was scheduled for replacement within a week at no charge. A request for an upgrade was also done quickly for a small charge. I highly recommend Martin!"

"Contacted JVEC for an evaluation of work issues related to a kitchen remodeling contractor. The evaluation and review were timely, thorough, and provided me the tools to discuss the shortcomings and necessary corrections with the kitchen contractor. As a result of the help provided by JVEC, the corrections were made at little additional cost. I would highly recommend JVEC and they will be my first call for any future electrical work."

"I reached out to Electric Zone for a few items we wanted in our home; a couple outlets installed in our closets and assistance in wiring a new pendant light. Haik from Electric Zone called us and arranged to come by the same day we reached out so that he could come by and provide an estimate, the price was fair so we decided to move forward with them. When Haik and his coworker arrived they discussed every step with us before proceeding, we were very happy with the options and works provided. Definitely recommend, we will be reaching out to Electric Zone again if we need more work in the future."

"Alset Electric Company is ran by Eddie. Eddie is very professional, efficient and very detailed. In the month of June (2026), I had Eddie to install the RING..I chose the wire RING system with the cameras...Eddie and his crew was very efficient and cleaned the mess afterwards. I had Eddie to I install my address numbers thats lights up at night on my new stone wall for the house. Eddie did an excellent job. My neighbors are still paying me compliments. Here we are in July (2026), my dad asked Eddie to install new water sprinklers for the front yard and backyard. Eddie explained detailed what he done. Eddie is very affordable. If you want very good electrical work, Eddie is the one to call. I have used his services many times now and very satisfied. If you later have questions for any service he had done he will gladly talk to you and stop by if you ask him to."

"The owner Jeff reacted promptly, was extremely courteous and flexible. We decided on a time and materials formula for pricing. Pricing was fair but not cheap. Work was done timely and professionally. Will keep his number handy for future projects!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Walnut, CA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
