"Hired for $75k curb appeal project including installation of foundation water barrier to prevent water into basement, replacement of front yard with concrete patio, new concrete steps from porch to street, install retaining wall (I'm on hill), section of astro-turf, landscape the remaining areas with drip irrigation, installation of new redwood fence, painting the house, and pouring new concrete driveway. They were good on big stuff: concrete, excavation, driveway, painting house, new fence. Unfortunately took 12 weeks instead of 6 week estimate. Recommend being as specific as possible in written contract, with itemized tasks and due dates. I should have gotten written agreement stating exactly when payments would be due. Happy with finished project but took all summer and had some minor mis-communications that were painful at the time."
