"David is a hard worker and very reliable. Work was started on time and completed ahead of schedule. Communications to include pictures of the various stages of the project was very helpful. I would hire David again for any project."

"I didn’t know if I was going to leave a review, but I feel at least one thing is noteworthy. At the beginning, John was very understanding of my situation, and willing to compromise and find solutions. Once he’d finished and I had a chance to inspect everything more closely, it was clear there were parts of his work. I was extremely unhappy with and areas that I wish he had been much more upfront on. I texted him to let him know what I was unhappy with, and time past. When he called me back, he was exceedingly humble, willing to compromise, and genuinely apologetic for leaving me unsatisfied. And I got the strong sense that he actually cared, and was not simply trying to save a review. so while he is not a perfection painter, and I wish he had been upfront about that beforehand, he is humble, has integrity, and is willing to accept feedback, whether positive or negative. So if character matters to you above all else, he’s the man for the job."

"The results are excellent. Both rooms look great with the outdated wallpaper removed and fresh colors applied. Considering both rooms are small, I thought the cost was pricey, but admit that I didn't get a second estimate. The hallway was an easier job, both in paper removal and painting. The bathroom was more difficult, that paper had been up for 25 years and was very stubborn. So, I couldn't have done the job myself, the results are great, and I'm glad I chose these painters."

"Eric and his wife were both very nice, however I got the feeling they really do not like the smaller jobs. We only needed our living room painted at this time. I overheard them complaining about our one terrier's barking so I held him on a leash the entire time. Our walls were dirty and I heard the wife say they were filthy and the paint wasn't holding well. I did my best to prep. They had to do three coast but did not need to purchase extra paint. They added to the estimate twice, once for the dirty walls ( we have a wood burner and the previous one caused smoke on the walls) and one for the walls needing a third coat.. We also found paint on our carpet and a few small missed places which we will take care of. ourselves. I understand that it is a small business, but stopping to take phone calls was a bit un professional as other jobs were being discussed. I just got the feeling that that our job was small and they wanted to get it done and get out. We just felt like he was rushing because he had another jjob to get to. We did have water satins on our ceiling and Eric did a great job covering them. It took quite a few coats of primer to cover them all.. He also sprayed one we had in the bathroom for us."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Walnut Creek, OH

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
