"Absolutely amazing. Perfect customer service from the beginning. Terry spent the time to review what I was looking to be done. He spent the necessary time reviewing the project and made recommendations from a professional point of view. The price was perfect and the time to complete the job was right on. Before the start of the job he came over and obtained the paint samples and to review the job to make sure of any changes or possible foreseeable problems. On the day of the job Terry and his crew showed up he and his team went straight to work. When done the house looked AMAZING!! Every detail was perfect, Every request fulfilled. Terry Lennon Painting is who I would recommend to anyone asking for a Professional House Painting service ."

"We asked 4 painters for bids. The first came out the same night, but we didn't receive his estimate until 6 days later. He was fairly detailed about what he would do. Frank Baldwin came the next day. I liked his detailed discussion of the issues, but especially I liked his plan of doing the interior in sections so that at the end of each day the house would be livable. He presented a written estimate before leaving. The third came the next day (a Saturday). He also left a written estimate. He was quite detailed also, but while the first two estimated a week, he estimated more like 3 weeks. His estimate was also close to twice as high. The 4th came out the following Tue and emailed their estimate the next day. They were also higher than the 1st 2 but seemed very business-like, maybe too much so in that it seemed that if anything unspecified came up it would be difficult to deal with. It was also somewhat higher than the first 2. The Painting System crew showed up 2 weeks later as scheduled. This was the last week of April and the weather was somewhat unsettled, so we were concerned when the crew didn't show up Monday until after noon, with rain predicted for Tue or Wed. However, they didn't have a problem. They had estimated a week and they were done by Friday. They did the inside during the rainy stretch and then did the outside (in a very strong north wind). The inside included all closets, which was quite a bit of extra work. There was also one section of the ceiling that wasn't easily handled, but they persisted until we were reasonable satisfied that it couldn't be improved. This was a series of ceiling cracks that turned out to be more trouble that expected. I would say that at all times they were professional, courteous and very responsive to anything we were concerned about. After the first day they took the trouble to remove all flooring plastic to allow us to have a reasonably normal night. The oddest time was the final evening when they had masked all the windows so it was like living inside a coccoon. Again, each day they came early, worked hard, and finished on schedule and with no price overruns. We have been very satisified! Since we used the exact same color scheme, they had more trouble to be certain they didn't miss any sections, but anywhere we had a concern they were happy to repaint without argument."

"Due to the three digit temperatures we rescheduled the work by a week from the original starting date. He showed up in time and finished the work as promised. The workmanship is excellent, no hurry, attentions to details. I will use this company in the near future for the whole exterior repainting and would recommend it to others. <br />"

"Guys did a great job as promised.  Took advantage of a $999 special; an additional $300 for extra exterior door painting.  Approximately $1000 in paint necessary but we chose top quality paint in lieu of having Better Choice select paint.  House was power washed and some trim replaced prior to painting.  Some delays due to the high temperatures we experienced that pushed out the job a couple of times. <br />"

"Another great job by Brooks Paining. Flint and his lone crew member did a great job on our Trip painting and Siding varnish. They were very timely and considerate of our home and property. This is our 3rd time in 19 years utilizing Brooks Painting. We haven't been let done."

"The actual service that I paid paintrite for was acceptable. I have had to fix some spots that were missed in a hasty end-of-job walk through, but the experience left me with a bad taste overall. Paintrite is expensive, but I didn't have an issue with that, expecting quality. The estimator and pre-job walk through both left me feeling confident. The crew that did the actual painting was really fantastic too, and super friendly. However, and I recognize that this was partly my fault, I was left with a mess when they left. The end-of-job walk through was scheduled in what was a pretty tight window of time for me. Unfortunately, the job was not ready to be considered done. The floors were covered in dust, paint chips, and nails (a month later I've hopefully stepped on the last of them). The paint crew used a personal supply of waters and mio left in the kitchen, and had made a lot of obvious errors (messy lines, drips on counter tops, etc). The single crew member left onsite fixed what we found, but after 30 mins I had to leave, so signed paperwork and moved on. The disappointing part is still finding errors (and nails on my bare feet) weeks later. I scrubbed paint out of my bathtubs, off the stairwell, and redid a small part of a powder room wall. I fully believe that Paintrite would have come back to the property to fix the errors (there were two lightbulbs not put back in sockets in cathedral ceilings), but after having to fix so much I sincerely didn't want them back on my property. I would never recommend their service. However, if you do have them on a job for you, take time and insure that you have plenty of leisure to insure they correct what was missed and restore your house to a reasonable state of cleanliness afterwards."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Walnut Grove, CA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
