"The team did a great job. They took the time to talk about what we needed and offered alternatives and were able to do the work right then. Ithin an hour we had our light switches rerouted with zero touchups needed to the walls. Not only were they efficient and courteous, they cleaned up as they worked and even vacumed up the dust. We will be using again for future work."

"Tristen and the Flex Electric team were very prompt and professional. My main priority with a company is communication. They have always clearly explained what needed to be done, were fair with their pricing, and completed the project on time. Flex Electric has completed multiple projects for me and my property management company. Services ranged from -Panel exchanges -Service upgrades -Generator installs -Rewiring of homes during remodeling projects. I’ve been pleased with their services and’ll continue using them."

"Mr. Bush was very thorough and very knowledgeable. I have been having problems with my stereo equipment and my humidifier for years and he just came in and looked at it right away and fixed it. He gave me information on how to go forward and what to do to be safe with all these things. He gave me a lot of useful information and he was just very thorough, very efficient, very fast and very knowledgeable. His communication was excellent in communicating to me. I would recommend him to all my friends and I hope he will come back and help me in the future anytime if I have a problem. I would never call on anyone else."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Warren, MI

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
