Ended up scheduling an appointment for 8 a.m. the next morning. He was here on the dot and quickly diagnosed the problem. Fixed not only that, but helped my husband get other things restarted as well (water filter and hot water heater) before he left. They finished on time and left the home clean. So, when I was looking personally to have basement waterproofing (interior french drains and sump pump) along with radon mitigation, I received 3 quotes, of which theirs was the most comprehensive plan, and again not the highest quote overall. They finished the work ahead of schedule by bringing four workers the second day, were respectful throughout and left the area reasonably clean. I'm confident that my days (and nights!) with the shopvac and flooded basement are finally over, and grateful they stand behind their work for a full year. Good contractors are hard to find. "NS plumbing got the job done. But we had an issue w the water softener that he decided to go with. They leave to get the softener machine then they do the hook up. They added copper pipes (which were done well). They only told me after installation they needed to make a hole through the walls to reach an outlet. I didn’t mind but would have liked to know prior. The owner was ok with his knowledge about the how’s and why’s. Price seemed average. Paid cash for a small discount. Didn’t get a receipt. The unit they brought had a defect, so NS called the company of the softener and are using the warrantee to have a replacement part changed by that company. My first experience, so unsure if this is standard practice. In the meantime the unit is running and doing the job, but needing a bucket to collect the dripping water until the company of the machine can come and replace this part. Overall experience seemed good and would recommend them to others. Honest, timely, and fair priced."
