"I felt the need to write this review, although technically Greg and I have never done business. In the recent round of rain storms, my sump pump stopped working as it is supposed to, and I ended up with about 5 inches of groundwater in the basement. I was able to get the sump pump working again, but 3 days after it stopped raining, I was still getting a lot of water in the pit. I found a sticker for Contractors Waterfproofing, and figured they might of installed the system for the old owners, so I gave them a call. From the moment he picked up Greg was service oriented and responsive. He asked for my address to look up the job, and when he couldn't find it, he called back within 5 minutes to ask what was going on. I explained the problem, and he immediately told me that was normal for my part of town, and told me I just needed to replace the pump and I would be fine. He offered me a price that was half what his competitors charge, and was willing to explain the whole job in detail."

They finished on time and left the home clean. So, when I was looking personally to have basement waterproofing (interior french drains and sump pump) along with radon mitigation, I received 3 quotes, of which theirs was the most comprehensive plan, and again not the highest quote overall. They finished the work ahead of schedule by bringing four workers the second day, were respectful throughout and left the area reasonably clean. I'm confident that my days (and nights!) with the shopvac and flooded basement are finally over, and grateful they stand behind their work for a full year. Good contractors are hard to find. "THIS WAS INSTALLATION OF FRENCH DRAIN & PUMP. We are new to this home, and had been in the crawl space maybe 2X! It is 4 feet deep w/1 light source. We knew the sump pump was shot - were looking merely for replacement w/battery backup. We stated there was no standing water. When Michael came to estimate, we had some surface water; he believed we needed more than we wanted; we didn't listen, he didn't pressure us. When the crew showed up after a particularly rainy period, Wilson showed us what we didn't know, had not seen before--we really had water down there. Wilson was honest, and advised while he could replace the sump pump, it likely wouldn't be enough to take care of the issues - my words, I'm paraphrasing - but he would do the work as we requested and leave it up to us to monitor and could return and install a french drain in the future. No pressure. After speaking with Wilson, and him showing us what we didn't know about the crawl space (seriously, who wants to go down there in the first place) he made sense to us and we realized we needed more than a new sump pump. We found Wilson to be knowledgeable and personable. Steve came out and after discussing it with him, again, it made sense to install the french drain and relocate the sump pump. Good thing we listened to the pros. French drain, moved pump to better location, and battery backup. We cannot say enough positive remarks about how meticulous they were with the installation. The crawl space looks amazing, the pump is quieter than the nightmare we had before, and they left the crawl space cleaner than it was before they arrived. For all the work they did OUTSIDE in preparation, etc., once they left, you would never even know they were here! They worked extremely hard in damp hot weather. Wilson was informative throughout, and the crew was respectful of our property. The new pump works like a charm and we are pleased with the work and the price."
